After having to literally pry my daughter away from her little cousins (6 & 8 yr olds) we're finally back home. Just started the movie "Downsizing" but who knows if I'll be able to finish it tonight or not, I've been going nonstop since 2:30AM! Kid's wide awake (I blame it on all the sugar Grandma loaded her up on) but she's lucky, she can sleep in tomorrow as she's on spring break this week.

well, aluminum is a soft, relatively weak metal. plus, when it's thin like a gutter, it's super easy to bend.

Taking my lunch break..really hoping we're done by 3:00 today as I have to take the Jeep back to the stealership for a computer malfunction. Less than 2wks and I'm having issues with it. I should've bought a Ford lol

Making a couple calls. So my home had some power issues on Thursday night and well into Friday. The town I live in has our own electric department (I absolutely hate it) instead of the majority of Ohio that uses a major company. So on Friday I called the electric department, only to get a message to call another number. So I then called the 2nd number, to get another message as no one was in the office (stupid Good Friday). That message said, if emergency, to call the local police station.

Well, despite the fact that half of my house had no power, I didn't deem it as an "emergency". To me, emergency means there's a threat of danger of some sort - and this didn't qualify. So I called a local electrician, who repaired the issue (outside connections that the electric dept. should have repaired). Fortunately the guy was cool and only charged $75 to fix it. But he and I both agreed this is something they should have done and maybe they can reimburse me.

So I've called them today and explained everything and they're saying why didn't you call police as anytime you don't have electric it's an emergency? They claim to have guys on staff at all times. Well, why not make it accessible then, I already called two numbers?

I still refuse to believe it's an emergency.. because it's not.

I just found out the girl who I'm really good friends with, apparently doesn't give her phone number away to guys. Not even her male friends like myself.

I honestly don't know how to feel about that. Are we really friends if there's no means of keeping in touch with each other? How will we communicate over the summer when classes are done? Is all of what we've shared and experienced a lie which has no meaning?

Going up to Home Town Buffet for Military Monday's. I'm going to check out movies at Target right next door before I go to eat. After I'm done, I'll head home and stop by Best Buy to pick up my in-store pickup order of Detroit. I used a $5 RZ certificate and got an extra $1 off for choosing ISP so yay

Sitting here trying to come up with my next plan of attack on boxing things into totes while the boy and I's lunch heats up in the oven. I can't decide if I'm going to tackle a wave or some of my con exclusives. With the new owner coming out on Wednesday to have someone measure for new windows I had to clean up around a couple of areas I wasn't ready to hit yesterday. Of course there was mildew and a hot mess on at least two of the windows. Which made things more of a project. The Mrs told me not to worry about it, but I didn't want them knocking anything over. Anyway, wishing I could hit more of the other side of the family room, but afraid I might find more issues that need attending and I don't want to deal with that until after their visit

We found out today that her mom is coming back to the states, by the sounds of it she's gonna have a permanent job at Fort Lewis, Washington. Where are you stationed now Mike16? I live about 20 minutes from JBLM and recommend base housing if your ex can. Rent has gotten too expensive and housing prices are insane. Which is one of the reasons why we're moving to Texas. The Mrs sold her Mom on the move finally by showing her some pictures over the weekend. Hopefully she continues to stay on board.
