Getting ready to take our heavy, winter blankets to the laundromat to wash so we can put them away for the summer. Just how I wanted to spend my day off /s

Ingredients:

2 pound extra lean ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 diced green bell pepper (1 cup)
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons kosher salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
cayenne to taste
1 cup ketchup
2 cups chicken broth or water
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Put all ingredients into a cold pot except ketchup, broth, mustard, worcestershire sauce and cheddar. Turn stove on medium-high heat and start to stir. This will break the ground beef into tiny pieces much better than doing it in an already heated pot. The salt will drain water from the bell peppers and onion. Stir and cook until most of the liquids are gone. Now add broth, ketchup, mustard and worcestersauce. Bring to a boil then turn the heat down to a simmer (about medium). Simmer for 45 minutes stirring ocassionally. Transfer into a baking dish, add half the cheddar and poke the cheese into the beef using a fork. Add rest of the cheese on top. Broil in oven until cheese is melted and forms a slight crust. Serve with sliced baguette.

Taking that super late lunch so I will bump my afternoon break to 3:30. Best part to this delayed lunch is when I clock back in it will only be 5% of the work week left. Looking forward to abusing my Raspberry Pi this summer. Maybe abusing the MoviePass as well.

My Raspberry Pi is my old school video game emulator with about 2100 games on it. I may even try some games on there I've never played before. Can't just keep playing the same 15-20 games or there was no point in getting it.

So this Raspberry Pi thing is a game emulator? Is it software you download to your computer? Or hardware that connects to your tv via HDMI? What kind of games? Nintendo? Sega? Sony?

Old school Nintendo, Sega and SNES games. It's an emulator someone else put games onto and then sold it to me on eBay. Apparently there's some with a lot more games but honestly 2100 plus everything else I have is already a lot.

How do you play the games? On your PC? TV? if TV, how does it connect? Yeah, 2100 games is a lot.

It's plugged into my TV with an hdmI cable, only real downside to it I've seen is it only has 1 controller jack. Small qualm of course since I'm the only real gamer I know.

I'm not a big gamer, but I do like the old school stuff. That upcoming and oft delayed Atari VCS has my interest piqued.

Waiting for the girls to get ready to go to the drive-in tonight. The popcorn's getting cold and my beer's getting warm, dammit!
