it'd normally be done by now, but the power was off for about 4 hours, starting about 3:30 this morning, so i couldn't use the coffee maker. i got out of bed and had decided to make it using the grill, again, but when i was in the bathroom, the power came back on (thankfully).

Glad to hear your power is back on sk33tr and your new doors are up Rage. Man, I feel for you Mike. Despite the time difference and state change my Mrs still gets up too damn early like back in Washington State.

I kind of went sideways about our son being up too late when I got woke up last night. So she got a wild hair and decided everyone should get up at 0800. Problem is, I was up till around 0300. So I see a nap in my day unless I go somewhere.

thankfully, it wasn't too hot or humid lat night/early this morning, so i just opened my window and my door and i was fairly comfortable.

it went out a couple months ago thanks to a storm taking out a tree and sending it down directly on top of a power line, it was damn hot and damn humid that night. i was miserable. so i went and slept a bit in my truck with the a/c running. if it's hot/humid, i can't sleep at all.

Just got back from an exhaustingly hot errand run...Home Depot to place an order for a new mailbox and the beer store to deal with those idiots, but at least with that errand the end result is kind brews.

Apparently, a ton of folks from the Carolinas are flocking to Atlanta to take refuge from the storm, but way up here?! I'm in the NE suburbs 40 minutes outside of the city and yet I still saw a ton of NC/SC plates at lunch. Odd.

Just finished giving the House a little straightening up & cleaning since my brother had called and said he,
his girlfriend & her son ( whom we've not meet yet ) were coming over after visiting a local store.

And after getting the house ready for them he called and said they weren't stopping by

My wife and I both aggravated our aches and pains by rushing to straighten things up

He said maybe tomorrow, since they would be shopping locally again ...
