Finally finished that ridiculously long assignment for my nutrition class, going to eat lunch and then write that play review for my theatre class. Then it'll be more studying for counseling class before I head to work for my Friday night shift.

About to try and go to sleep. I tested out a new coffee maker around 9pm tonight. Bad idea. It's now 4:15 am, and I'm still awake

Playing catch up in the threads and thinking about going back to bed. Had my orientation on Thursday and start my training this next week sometime. Have a buddy doing an overnight visit tomorrow and really wish I could cancel it. Since I’m most likely going to get up early on Monday. Hope everyone has been well.

i need to buy a new coffee maker. mine decided to stop working a couple days ago. i've been making coffee the old way and it's getting.....old...heh.

hope everything is ok in your neck of the woods, too, Don. i volunteered to go into work later today at 6pm. hopefully the game will be over, or very close to being over, by then and i don't miss too much of it.

Stuck at work for another 6 hours or maybe sooner if this new supervisor doesn't stop bugging me about how to do his job. How the f**k can corporate hire someone with so little business sense into a management position?

In other news, I'm taking my little brother and his youngest offspring to a haunted attraction tonight and hopefully I won't be too tired to come back here and watch some horror movies afterward.

i've found that, usually, people like that know somebody higher up and that's how they got the job; not by experience, but by knowing the right person. and all it ever does is make both of them look like fools.

During the summer months, I avoid coffee as much as I can because I get overheated easily (and I can't stand iced coffee

), so I bought a newer slimline Keurig machine to cut down on waste. I went to make a cup the other day, and the damn thing mysteriously crapped out on me. So yesterday I picked up a simple 5-cup Mr. Coffee coffee maker from the store. I don't usually drink a lot in one sitting, so it's perfect for me. I've never had a problem with Mr. Coffee products in the past, so I hope this one works just as good.

I used to ask my self that question all the time at my previous employer. They were notorious for hiring daisy-fresh college grads into management roles knowing damn well they have absolutely ZERO work experience, only what their Ivy League degree says they know (which obviously wasn't much). It made for some interesting situations and a couple of meltdowns on the production floor.
