Been experiencing some pressure in the lower right abdomen, praying for a long undiagnosed hernia, my man. Thanks for asking.

EDIT: PHEW, confirmed I have a hernia.

I was gonna say, that does sound like a hernia. I've had a hernia since I was young, wanna say around 13 is when I noticed it. My pain was kind of worrisome though, at least at first. Once or twice per year I would experience this horrible stabbing pain in my belly button. Any sudden movement would cause the pain to intensify. I still have the pain to this day because I never got the hernia removed, in fact, I wanna say I've given myself another one but I haven't confirmed that with a doctor yet.

The pain has gotten to be ridiculous. Like I said, it occurs 1-2 times per year but it's gotten worse with each passing year. I couldn't even move for about 6 hours back in December because standing upright is literally impossible when the pain is there, I physically can't stand up and walk around normally.

It's gonna get to a point where I'll be forced to get it done, probably through a visit to the emergency room knowing how I am. It doesn't help that I have to do all of the lifting around the house and my job is pretty much 100% physical. I'm trying to get myself to a point where I can request a position with little to no lifting, because after that surgery, I'll be done for as far as lifting goes. If I get this removed then that's it, never again will I allow a hernia to return. I am deathly afraid of surgery and being cut open, the mere thought of it sends me into a panic lol.

Getting ready to go to the dentist as I broke a tooth the other day - there's too much missing to fill so it has to have an onlay put over the whole thing which (even getting it relatively cheap in the UK) is going to dent my credit card

I get it and am TOTALLY with you, but that's no way to live. I too am pretty damn deathly afraid of being cut open, but there's no way I'm continuing down this path cuz it's only going to continue to get worse. I'm not thrilled about getting it diagnosed right before we leave for our honeymoon, but I'm so glad it wasn't something much much worse! I'll just have to take it WAY easy during the trip, not exert myself too much on vacation (paddle boarding and other such watersports are now probably off the table) and heavily self-medicate via Caribbean libations.

I’m sitting here feeling a bit lost lately. Had to service my least favorite account twice this week and it was all I could do to not lose my shit yesterday on one of the c u next Tuesday grocery managers. All I want to do is come in, do my job and complete my ****ing work. That’s all I want and I don’t give a shit if anyone likes me, unlike my young ward, who works with me. Especially when he’s being fed the same bullshit I was when I took over the accounts. There comes a time in any relationship, whether work or personal, that one party should realize “maybe it’s you!”. Because of this and other work related shit, I feel like all I ever do anymore is eat and sleep.

Which is starting to take an affect on my personal time. My wife wants to do these grandiose field trips and all I want to do is chill with my off time. So it is putting an unnecessary strain on our relationship. It also doesn’t help that her friends from her old job are planning to surprise her on her birthday. Which means whatever plans I have to be put by the wast side because they want to spend time with “their girl.” And that would be fine if my wife wasn’t the female equivalent of Clark Griswold. Nothing ever lives up to her expectations and with this being a big year birthday I don’t know how it is going to play out waiting until the week after her birthday because of her friends. Kobayashi Maru.

Drinking some coffee and facing my daily conundrum when I’m off and the house is quiet. Movie, game or continue to chill.
