Just got back from town. Everyone is out grabbing their last minute food items. We’re also on track for a lovely storm. They’re already pretreating the roads.

Grabbed Wendy’s for lunch. Free 6 piece nuggets every wed in the app! I went with spicy nuggs and a jr bacon cheeseburger.

Just picked my SUV back up from the garage. Had PA state inspection & emission testing done, a tire rotation, oil change and a fuse changed (cigarette lighter wasn't working, so I could not charge my phone) all done for just $206.10. I was pleasantly surprised it was so cheap!

Yeah I’d say that’s pretty good. I’m in a county that does not require emissions testing. It’s a bit funny considering all the people with their big diesel trucks and straight pipes.

Fuse swap is pretty simple so hopefully they didn’t get you too much for that. Places like Advance Auto or Auto Zone do that for free.

Are you running all season tires on the SUV or do you put on snow tires? I try to rotate my own tires to save a few bucks but my back def feels it for a few days.

We have emissions tests that we have to pass down here. One year, my mom couldn't pass hers because of her catalytic converter. I think it had to be replaced. The price to get it done was outrageous. So she bought one and had her nephew install it. Thing is, he lived in Maryville. Which is about 4 hours from my mom. She ended up having Blount county tags for awhile so she could drive. At least until her nephew installed the new one. Since her mom's house was still partly in her name after her mom passed away, she could do that. I miss all of them so much. I never see that part of my family anymore. Especially since my Uncle and my Aunt (his wife) passed away. Our cousin is the only one left on that side in terms of immediate family. It's such a shame what time does. I need to get off her for now and get my mind off this. My week is going well and my mood is overall good. I don't want to spoil it by getting in my head and getting in my past.

I don't plan on buying anything this year as I've been downsizing and trying to save money for my daughter's hospital bills but it doesn't hurt to window shop...anyway, I'm about ready to swap out this cup of coffee for an ice cold beer

Just got back from my trip not too long ago. Spent Monday night up there and then came back down the hill yesterday and spent the night at my dad's house. Watched 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi on Blu Ray. If I had never seen it on Blu Ray before (can't remember), that means I hadn't seen it since the theater in '16.

Some pics from the trip. Leaving my camping spot at about 2:30am in the morning was a bit The road wasn't plowed yet so I just had to take it easy and if I had to brake, I made sure I was easy with them. Obviously no traffic at that time but I'd say about the only thing that kept me on the road, because the visibility was so bad, were the poles on the side of the road. I ended up parking in a gas station parking lot that probably had just as much snow but I felt better there. Like I said, my main concern was just getting snowed into my parking spot. Also, with my original spot, once the snow plow does come by, it's going to put that snow on the road to the side of the road so it would be a bit harder to get out.

My windshield before I left my original spot. I turned the windshield wipers on to get rid of the resting snow but it was still snowing as I was driving and the visibility didn't get a whole lot better.


Outside my new camping spot in the morning. A snow plow was clearing the parking area so that made it quite easy for me to get out once I hit the road.

I was thinking that same thing, as a northern NY native we see much more snow than even you get in PA. lol

OT: Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and getting ready to go for my semi-annual Thanksgiving 5k(3-ish mile) run/walk before I come back and put together dinner tonight. I'm making a Dutch apple pie and a 3 cheese lasagna since I'm alone this year. I'll probably call my daughter at some point today, she's spending Thanksgiving with her mom's side of the family so she may need some cheering up lol
