It would appear that for the second Friday in a row I'm on standby and won't be getting a route. Already applied to 10 other jobs this morning, including at 3 DSPs in the same warehouse. If I get sent home I'll look for more jobs. After discussing it with my father and sister, I won't be doing any CDL or bus driver jobs but with 6.5 months of experience driving for Amazon, my resume is a lot more versatile than it was before.

Nope, but I have family in the Knoxville/Maryville area. I'm from Nashville. I miss Disc Exchange in Knoxville. That was one of the coolest record stores this side of Tower.

Watching some old Fleetwood Mac videos on Youtube....the older I get, the more I appreciate their music. What a crazy dynamic they had between Stevie and Lindsey....but it created such great melodies and lyrics to their songs.....I think their music easily holds up in todays world.

You know something similar has happened with me but in some polar opposite ways. In the last 2-3 years I have grown to appreciate and love The Sundays more and more. While my appreciation for R.E.M. has waned. Don't get me wrong. I still love R.E.M., but I recently listened to their best of from 2011 and it didn't strike me like it should. Now The Sundays, on the other hand, SO DO!!!

Hex Yeah! Love it. I say the same thing to the Mrs. every weekend. Don't wake me, woman! There will be no chores done today. She always replies...

If you have SACD capability (or high-res streaming), do yourself a favor and get the Mobile Fidelity version of this, it sounds RIDICULOUS:

Ahh yes, that's right...you're another Axiom owner around here, I just remembered. And you have an Integra as well, good stuff.

It legit sounds fantastic...clean as a whistle. Easily demo-material.

I really like my Integra even though it's just a re-badged Onkyo.

The Axiom is a beast.

Eh, Onkyo never offered a pre/pro and I had my Integra DTC 9.8 for well over a decade until it recently started acting up...loved that thing.

Yep, it sure is, I have the same one.

About to go home to brush my teeth and eat some dinner. Set up a Tuesday 10:00 job interview for a Monday and Tuesday mover position. Operations manager sounded impressed so I imagine as long as I don't bungle the interview, I'm in.

Actually they had the PR-SC 88x and PR-SC 55xx models in the mid/late 2000s and 2010s.

I had the PR-SC886 around 2008'ish.

I'd guess there were also Integra equivalents. I think the last iteration was the 5509. I kind'a miss those mid/late 2000s days when the Onkyo 805 AVR was giving separates a run for their money.

I'm now week 2 in my new home, it has been great, but physically and emotionally draining! A few days ago I had an offer on my former home, it only took 10 days for that, but the hard part is getting through the home inspection that will take place next Monday. I'm sure they will find 50 things wrong with the house, it was built in 1969.

Right now I am on my sofa in my "Man Cave" in the basement having some beer & wine watching the NCAA hoops tourney. It's a Iowa Hawkeyes, STL Cardinals, Chicago Bears & Tampa Bay Bucs Man Cave. I really love it and it's nice and cool down here, will be great during the hot summer months. I left the city for rural life, and it's great.

Having a brand new home vs. a home that is 55 years old is so much better and modern. Plus, I have a retention pond and small wooded area behind me, which means no homes will be built there, I get privacy

Congrats on your new home, there's nothing like a brand new one for all the memories to be made fresh. And yes, the basement is where it's at during the hot summer months...my cave is the same way and it's dark af, PERFECT for naps. Enjoy!!!
