Doing my best to make it through the day. I feel like crap. But my friend is coming over this afternoon after work and we're going to McKay's. Not missing that for nothing. I'm not really sick or anything. I didn't sleep at all Sunday night going into Monday. And I haven't got much more sleep since then to make up for it. So now my body is telling me what for. I don't know what or who they think they are, but I am in control here. So the body better just get with the program. it can collapse after this evening's festivities.

I know. If it was big balls then maybe I could understand. No one wants small nuts. Not even SF's squirrels.

When my oldest sister was studying to be a nurse anesthetist she wanted to practice putting IVs in on me. I said hell no. My God!!!! Who would willingly want an IV put in them? Not even hardcore alcoholics do that.

No-spend day today so got home from work and haven't left my apartment all day. Was on another forum and there is a member who hails from Williamsburg, Va so I decided to check the route from where my parents live in Brunswick, Ga. I think I've been to Williamsburg three times and I'd like to return someday. Dad and I went to Busch Gardens on our trip back in '97 and that was a lot of fun. At the time, Alpengeist was the newest coaster that they had. To be honest, I don't remember much else about the park but I'd like to revisit it someday.

Now, I think I'll watch some YouTube, which I have been doing but I'll actually look for something to watch rather than just surfing, and then it will be time to get some more sleep before work tonight.

Shaking my head as I read my prescription drug plan statement. My prescribed medications for just the first quarter of this year cost $201,586.27.

If eliminating fraud is really a priority now, a long hard look at the pharmaceutical industry is way overdue.

McKay's...hell yeah, Knoxville's "hidden gem" I miss that place, I lived about an hour north of Knoxville and my brother-in-law lived outside the city so I went down there quite a bit. I'll miss not going there, if I can spare a day I may have to make one last special trip next weekend when I'll be back in Kentucky taking care of last minute stuff per my move back up north

Waking up....... Funny thing, I think that tree my neighbor cut down was home to a woodpecker, and it is f'ing pissed! Almost every morning for the last week it has been either taking it out on a tree in my front yard or my house.

Does anyone know the lifespan of one ? I think I might have an SF like problem, but with an avian jackhammer..

Funny...I did both yesterday myself. I am not a fan of meetings, so I am happy I only have a virtual meeting with my boss once a month.

LOL. That movie is too funny. It's worth it alone just to see Terry's Bradshaw.

You should go. They renovated ours here and the selection has gotten so much better. Just last weekend I went and found a movie in the special interests section titled Hairy Boys 2.* It was WAY more than special interest. So, part of the reason for going back yesterday was to try sell some of my adult movies. Lo and behold, they took some of them. I had about 40 total and they took 13 of them. What's odd is that some of the ones they didn't take, I thought were sho-ins.

I made a point of having most of them being fairly benign. So that they didn't have to cover up much, if anything at all. I also made sure not to have ones with obvious titles such as Daddy's Ha--y H--e. Now I wish I didn't give all those others away to my friend now. I could use the money. LOL. But i'm not to be an Indian Giver. It's alright. I'd rather my friend have them than the money. Friends are priceless. Best friends even more so. I'll probably go back next week with some more if I can.

*That was a game changing, holy grail movie for me. The movie itself is nothing to write home about. But I'm not selling it. I'm going to keep it forever. I've got the receipt too. Ever since eBay quit letting people sell stuff like this, it's been hard to get rid of them. Plus, the whole selling online thing was a real pain in the butt. Knowing I have somewhere to take them is mind-blowing.

Sounds like you got a problem with your woody. You need to take matters into your own hands.

Just so long as you don't forget to wear clothes when being in THAT meeting. At least pants and underwear. LOL. That gives a whole new meaning to casual Fridays.

Failure to Launch is a hilarious film and I never understood why it didn't gain more traction considering its cast with McConaughey, Bates, Bradshaw, SJP, Zooey and Bradley Cooper. Everyone I've played it for over the years enjoyed it. It's also too bad Justin Bartha's career didn't take off. He had a good run with the National Treasure films and The Hangover Trilogy. I just checked out his wiki. He's doing well with a 25m net worth and is married a fitness instructor.

Failure to Launch still did 88m at the box office which is pretty good for a rom-com. It was actually one of the first Blu-ray's I purchased and could really benefit from a 4K release as it has the old codec. C'mon, Paramount!

Almost every freakin' day for me. You'd think they want me to actually get my work done rather than sit on a call. And then they wonder if the fixes/changes/requests to/for the app is ready or not.

And speaking of meetings, I just got out of 3 back-to-back...

Yo momma.
[Show spoiler]

Joking aside, it's just time for a new desk. The one I have - while very nice and is solid oak, has a hutch, return, etc. - is freakin' huge and wasn't designed for a workstation. I've drilled into it and modified it, but it's at the limit of what I can do with it. I work full time from home and have had it for 16 years. I'm ready for a change and want something that'll accommodate all my gear, which includes an HT, so it's gonna have to be a custom build.

Haven't seen that movie but failure to launch is a phrase I sometimes think of because of the film and mostly due to my own life I only think of it as having Matthew in it. I couldn't think of who the female lead is. Just checking the dates, and yeah, it predates the first hangover by three years. And you mentioned Justin Bartha and I couldn't picture him until you said National Treasure. A fitness instructor? Like a hot athletic fitness instructor or a boring financial fitness instructor?
