Came up to my spot for clam chowder today. I'm going to have three bowls and then I might get a shake to go when I leave. I have work later tonight so I won't be out for too long. I may take a little drive but more than likely, I'll just head back to San Jose.

Drinking some coffee and going over the cost and info brochure for the summer camp my daughter wants to attend. $2000/week!?! Jesus, I didn't realize how expensive summer camps were.

The weekend has begun again so deciding if I want to do my usual and grab lunch and then do whatever for the rest of the day or if I wan to take the bike to Boulder Creek which would be my furthest ride outside SJ yet. It would be a scenic ride and I'd get lunch either out on the road or when I got back to San Jose.

Coming back down to Earth from the excitement I had on Saturday when I went my first golf tournament. And staying awake. I drove Friday night from around 8p-4a:30a. Then Saturday night from 6p-7:00a. Yes, you read that right. And then one trip from 11a-1p.

Wish! But no, I went to Firestone Country Club (Akron, OH) for the KauligCompanies Championship. It's a PGA Senior Tour event.

So it is like a 100+ degrees and my air conditioned office is currently at 78 degrees and climbing with humidity as the ac system in 100 degree days just doesn't wanna work. Thank god are shop manager has a stash of icy pops , no lunch today getting out of here as soon as possible today and home to my ac system that actually works.

I used to work for a warehouse unloading rail cars and trailers during the summer when I was younger. I probably lost 5 pounds every day in those tin cans. Hang in there!

You obviously haven't hit all of Puerto Rico cause there some doozies down there that not even all the beer in the world could make pretty. Some of them down there give Rosie O'Donnell a run for her money as the ugliest thing on two legs.

How in the hell? Where do you put all of that. If I ate 3 bowls of clam chowder I would have some of the worst bowels known to man. First off from the fact that it's clam chowder. Secondly, from the fact that it's 3 bowls in one sitting. How are you not sick all the time? Your bowels must be like Superman.

Drinking some coffee and going over the acceptance email I received from the sleepaway camp my daughter wants to go to up in Maine. It's friggin' expensive but I guess most experiences are.

I don't know. Some of the best experiences I ever had growing up didn't cost anything more than the price of a concert ticket or movie ticket. I think this whole idea of having to spend a lot to have good experiences is bunk. My brother and his partner are always taking trips together. Cruises overseas and all that. Like Greece for example. But you're never really going to remember all that at the end of the day. Not that much anyway. Some of the best experiences I had with my dad cost nothing but gas to get somewhere. Or spending an afternoon playing games at a game room.

One of the memories that stick out for me with my dad is going to a Blockbuster Music across town somewhere on Tuesday to get the release of Monster by R.E.M. which just released that day. Midnight madness with my fiancé are some of the fondest memories. For my mom, it would have to be skipping my junior prom to go see my first Edie Brickell & New Bohemians show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. It only cost the two tickets for the show and the hotel.

My mom and me could fly free since she worked for U.S. Air as a reservation agent. I've been on some truly expensive trips and they were great. But it's all the little, super cheap things that I will remember the most. I vividly remember the day I went to Tower Records after school (it was right across the street from my high school's old location) to pick Edie Brickell & New Bohemians Ghost of a Dog on release day. I even remember the day I picked up R.E.M's Out of Time on release day. But I barely remember that expensive cruise I took with the whole family just after my birthday in 2009. Point being is some of the best experiences can be cheap or even totally free. It's not about how much you spend, but about the time spent.

TUESDAY:

I got my blu-ray copy of The Haunting yesterday and I think I'm going to end up triple dipping and getting the 4k/ Blu-ray release as well, because it has the DTS Master Audio track on it.
