Same. I mowed this week for the first time in a few weeks. Not too many mowing days left with fall around the corner along with cheaper golf!

Caffeinating up for my last night shift tonight. Also looking at studios/1br apartments nearby to move into, I want to stay close to my daughter but it's a little awkward living under my Ex-wife's roof even though we get along a lot better since both of us becoming single again.

That's because most kids nowadays get out of school end of May (sometimes end of June even) and are back the 1st of August. I remember when summer break was a FULL 3 months. We are letting kids lose their childhood in some ways and growing them up too fast.

They get out mid to late June and go back the first week of September here, I remember a time when I was in high school the school board proposed axing summer break entirely so we wouldn't have to "waste time" the first half of the school year "relearning" what we were taught the previous year. We would've had sporadic weeks off every quarter instead, basically it was supposed to equal the 2.5 months we would have off in the summer. Clearly parents/taxpayers didn't approve of it.


Anyway... back on topic...

It's FRIDAY and I just got home from work, I'm sitting here drinking a couple cold Yuenglings and trying to figure out if I want to watch a YouTube video or throw a movie on the laptop. My daughter's passed out next to me so it'll have to be something of lesser action.

McIntosh really gave me blue balls by telling me my unit would be fixed this week. They called on the 13th and told me it would require 3 hours of labor. It's really not a complicated repair as they're swapping the disc transport/drive with a new one I supplied and replacing the front glass.


They should have just been like "yeah..we'll let you know when it's done" to limit the anticipation factor. It's been a freaking year...guess I can wait a little longer but I really thought I'd be going on a little road trip this week to upstate NY.

I mean what is their excuse for holding it for over a year now? How can a company be that busy, I dont buy it and I would be worried that the damn thing will get lost. Actually I would maybe be worried about that right now..

It's just how they run things out there. Oh, I was worried a few times it would get lost. Especially considering it was two separate items.

A few rumors online that they only have 3 or 4 repair guys and they move warranty repairs to the front of the line. It's all whacked out considering it just sits on a shelf for a year.



Last Wednesday was the first time they reached out to me after dropping the unit off a year ago. I thought it was not so coincidental that they called me just a week shy of it being there a full year. I was tempted to call them a few times for an update but didn't want to be a pest. I'm sure many do and perhaps they move them to the back of the queue.

She gave me the estimate and then asked if I still wanted them to perform the work. Well, obviously

No, not at all. You waited a whole year just to not have the repair done. Some people. really. I'm sitting here stewing and mulling the day. Waiting for the clock to wind down so I can eat some Mexican and watch Nicholas Cage fall in love with Bridget Fonda. Oh and she has gotten F-A-T!!!!!
