attempting to fix my niece's laptop.

her antivirus was WAAAAAAY out of date so i'm updating that, first thing.

the other problem is it wouldn't turn on unless it was plugged in. when it IS plugged in, it says the battery is fully charged; but it wouldn't come on.

i removed the battery and noticed it had a bit of corrosion on the contacts. i cleaned them as best i could. i'm still gonna take it and have it checked and make sure they're cleaned better and everything else is fine.
