resting and cooling off before i take a shower. been working on my shop since i got off work (around noon). luckily it hasn't been too hot outside, but i have been doing some sweating (i.e., burning calories) climbing up and down ladders for a couple hours. plus i built another little storage cabinet (being generous with that name) to hang on my shop wall.

so i'm just sittin' here watching some (more) dvr stuff before i get clean.

Just cut my foot in the webbing between my toes, due to a piece of glass I trod on, the broken glass was there because my computer monitor fell on a glass, smashing it, and spreading it everywhere, it fell because I was up a ladder in my kitchen, tying supports for an indoor pot plant that grows in my kitchen (it grows from floor level to ceiling and spreads out a couple of meters) and I slipped, knocking the monitor over. I now have a cut foot with a need for a new monitor

Looking through 4 Excel spreadsheets I was sent to see if there is any vinyl I may want to buy. There are about a dozen or so that have peaked my interest, but I can't afford to buy them all. Might get 1 or 2, maybe 3...we'll see.

Hey I went to my first boot sale when I was in Kilkenny last year.

Look forward to the pics Villiam

Now back at work. Started at 4am and just having my first break at 10:10am.

Sorry to hear about your foot and monitor stevo. At least you weren't seriously hurt. Do you have a picture of the plant?

It's a park where the actual houses of locals are as they were in the 1800's,you wander around and there are shops,a blacksmith, church, school etc all from that era.

As you move around the park and through the town to the docks where you board a ship for America, following the footsteps of the emmigrants all those years ago.

When you leave the ship at the other end you are then in "The States" where you come across the lives and homes of the places the people from Ulster had built.

It's very interesting with staff in costumes throughout the park who are able to tell you the history and answer any questions you might have.

Here's a few more:

This is well done too, during the summer months there is a lot more activity about the place with shows and stuff.
Unfortunately it was cold today and the rain was on and off but nevertheless still very enjoyable.

What Villiam isn't saying is that in Northern Ireland, that park would be considered a thriving metropolis and when you get to the America side , I bet suddenly the streets are paved with gold
Seriously though, great pics Villiam. I still have to put mine up

And wow tob is from Ireland too...and ...Villiam is...and then I have been to Ireland. I feel like we are connected somehow spiritually. Let's be BFFs

Never made it to Cork tob. I never made it past Kilkenny. Have you been there?

Thanks for the photos Villiam. I have only been to the Ulster American Folk Park once and that was for a primary school trip. It's a wonderful place! I also pass it everyday on route to work.

No worries Trigger, the last time I was there would have been during a primary school trip I think,by the time we were leaving today there were some amount of coaches arriving with tourists.
