I see a tough sell for Samsung if competing theaters can play Dolby Vision and/or Dolby Atmos and their Cinematic LED setups can't.

You only have one set of theatres that can 'play' Dolby Vision: Dolby's theatres equipped with laser projectors, you weren't ever gonna get Samsung Cinema LED screens doing DV.

The dialogue between Samsung and Dolby mentioned above is for the audio side of things only IMO, seeing as Dolby are less provincial about Atmos and want it to be as ubiquitous as their prior cinema sound formats. That it couldn't be worked out is interesting but not surprising, given that the Cinema LED can't surely be perforated (as per a regular cinema projection screen) so naturally they would need alternate arrangements for the front speakers.

Brilliant! Wish the cat next door would meet this fate when he attempts to jump on my car and sleep on the roof a couple of nights each week. Muddy prints on my hood, windshield and roof EVERY time.

Just checked. Paul, the link works fine for me. The only thing denied is saving the magazine offline as a pdf (which one can normally do as a subscriber).
