Is this on HDR10+ Blu-ray, or on Netflix Dolby Vision. ...In 3D with Atoms?

It’s on neither, as this big budgeted motion picture is still in the filming stage - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6924650/ as we speak.....like today!

More politics and conflict of interest but in the Cinema business as related to HDR - https://mkpereport.com/2018/09/dci-has-lost-its-way/

Is it a remake of the 1976 film of the same title?

^ Yes, and to add to your Wikipedia link, there was an open casting call for Midway (2019) at Hickam last July - http://www.hookelenews.com/extras-ne...-midway-movie/ .

^ Friday night now sold out. Took a couple days as opposed to less than a couple hours for Saturday night. Don’t say I didn’t alert you San Diego locals and tourists.

Another firsty alert, but for folks in Sacramento and Los Angeles - https://www.verizonwireless.com/5g/home/

With 5G, think of the implications this can have for content providers in terms of delivering the next generation of UHD technologies.

Another extremely interesting link!

My LG OLED has an "Eye Comfort Mode" which I assume is also suppressing blue a little bit - it's hard to be sure, and LG's documentation is beyond woeful. All they tell me is something which re-words the description of the option, not actually what each option is actually doing.

Yeah , and with regards to the notion of potential pathological effects caused by blue light to photoreceptor cells in the retinal nerve fiber layer, Ian is also one of few I know of who actually read thru the Scientific Reports paper after the time I posted the direct link - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post15393548

rather than taking the word of the lay press.

Well, given your absence over there, I’ll interject something short here. I completely agree with Zaha’s contention that he’s being unfairly treated (https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45536844). Reminds me so much of what opponents did to Pele in the 1966 World Cup.

Seems there’s a lot of fluff at IBC this year. However, Simon Thompson’s upcoming presentation scheduled for tomorrow met my eye. If anyone is reading this and attends the presentation, take some notes as I’d like to hear if there’s anything new regarding this aspect of HLG….https://show.ibc.org/programme-sessi...al-excellence-

There always seems to be some lag time before these papers are published online.

haha, Yoeri was the fella I took to task on flatpanels about his "Hollywood hates you" article regarding the lack of Dolby Vision on UHD disc. Amazing to think that someone who's part of the UHD Forum didn't have the faintest idea about how DV was put onto disc, and I'm no "pro", I only know what I know thanks to you fine people on here.

Wow. Is he really part of the UHD forum, or have they nicked his Venn Diagram and credited him for it?

ps. He has a Dolby Vision FAQ on his website, if you'd like to learn more from him

If not a member then certainly a noted participant in their workings, he was present for the "masterclass" discussion where that slide came from for example. These guys aren't going to know everything - I sure don't - but that DV article was full of the usual "the sky is falling!" nonsense.

Looks like they need to adjust Panasonic so they’re inside both the DoVi circle and HDR10+.
