Personally, I never did that ^ as I stayed more traditional with my marriage vows, but back in the day when my wife and I were starting our careers, strapped for cash and living in small rented apartments which offered no attached garages…..commonly when not in use, dee motorcycle was parked in our family room on a stand where I’d often also do minor maintenance. She drew a line though when it came to me changing the oil or draining the carb indoors.

P.S.
When I was single and in college, I think all of our neighbors (probably reluctantly) learned the lyrics of this theme song which we played quite often on our stereo, likely too loud with the windows open before heading out in the morning for a Sunday ride - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN7tuTNCBZE#t=1h26m46s

Doubtful, at least for the time being.

Meanwhile, those small, independent content creators not having access to the more user friendly Colorfront Transkoder for HDR10+ generation and MP4 10 bit encoding/export have finally accumulated viable pieces for a complete workflow as of a couple weeks ago, after mini-rants on this -> https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/v...85191&start=50 and the prior page.

Yesterday was an historic day.

Tom Roper has posted a freely downloadable HDR10+ demo to AVS (here). And now he has very kindly added an HDR10-only version of the exact same content.

For the first time since all the false dawns which started back in 2016, the world FINALLY has a freely downloadable HDR10+ demo.

Thankyou Tom!

After jumping thru all the hoops with their available devices, I was wondering when one of those Resolve guys would eventually come out with some short content. I actually thought Florian Friedrich would be the first to offer something HDR10+ up to consumers to play with.

Should be interesting to see how that single sample looks on different TVs. He could elaborate more on how much “adjusted according to the intent of the colorist” was performed.

Penton, as far as different TVs go, just some Samsungs and one or two Panasonic models, Yes? Any other brands available at this juncture?

Right now we're living in a dark cloud full of constipation. It's just so sad ... what happens to the people who build this world?

Jerry, and Bruce too, are super good guys; we need more of them, more like them.
R.I.P. John. It's just so sad this all affair with that dark cloud in da house.

I don't expect any changes in the near future. I doubt Disney cares at all about HDR10+ unless it affects costs. As far as Netflix goes, I would think Disney would have to honor any current deal Fox/Netflix already had. But, the major reason Disney bought Fox was to beef up their streaming channel. So maybe everything gets pulled in 2020.

There’s another, although I’d bet those on Fox News would choke on acknowledging it…..https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post15446992

Philips, otherwise none that I’m aware of and therein lies HDR10+’s continued vulnerability as to successful adoption, no? Panasonic is supposed to be coming out with some news at the upcoming NAB 2019, but that’s more on the pro level rather than specifically HDR10+ related.

Default Gorilla Group Expands with DaVinci Resolve Studio for UltraHD 4K HDR Delivery

“We first had to produce a Dolby Vision grade for Netflix, then an SDR trim for Channel 4, where the series was premiering,” Richard explains. “Channel 4 has ad breaks, whereas Netflix required uninterrupted video. On top of that, we had international deliveries to handle, as well as both graded and ungraded archival masters. DaVinci Resolve enabled us to bring it all together.

for which I believe creating with HDR10+ will show inferior precision and manual oversight capability (intermediate tone mapped HDR versions) as compared to grading with Dolby Vision, see 4.3.1 onward - https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technolo...cticesV3_0.pdf

...and isn't it great to FINALLY be able to put these things to the test?

(and isn't it a crying shame that the HDR10+ people were so coy, shy and unreasonable in withholding demos for 2 years?)
