I’m all for capitalism; however, safety comes first, so I’m also glad to see Adobe is placing their employees’ health above that of company ambition in promoting products leading to more profitability - https://www.provideocoalition.com/ad...t-of-nab-2020/

as well as potentially, if Adobe hadn’t opted out, and some of their young employees were to become infected either by travelling to/or being in attendance at, the Show, and only suffered the very mildest of symptoms, that such employees wouldn’t then unknowingly serve as a vector of transmission to the most vulnerable in their communities.

Samsung to reportedly launch micro LED TVs later this year

According to a new report, Samsung will launch its micro LED TVs in the second half of 2020. It is planning to partner with Taiwanese brand Epistar, which makes epitaxial wafers and chips, for the supply of micro LED chips. Epistar is a shareholder of PlayNitride, which is currently the exclusive micro LED chip supplier for Samsung. If the deal goes through, Epistar and PlayNitride will team up to supply micro LED chips to Samsung for its TVs.

Fortunately, yes, anecdotal and a recent study out of China provides data strongly suggesting that. The downside is that virologists believe its likely kids can also readily transmit the disease to others (adults) in which the consequences of infection can be more dire, esp. vulnerable adults and the elderly.

Which is why it’s a good thing that public schools, like for instance in Scarsdale, N.Y. took quick action (scroll down to Coronavirus Update: March 8th, 2020) –

to prevent:
faculty member -> school children -> parents, grandparents, others in the community

Good choice, mass gatherings at this time are not a good idea. Also, good to know that people are finally factoring in the real possibility and consequences of asymptomatic shedding of the virus during the incubation period.

Checking out your posts on other forums, I see you too like dee animals as evidenced by your other forum avatar – a blue footed booby doing a mating dance in Galapagos, or is it him walking home after doing some day-drinking? with the parrot as seen lounging further up on this page

[Show spoiler]
Lol. It's a bit of both. First he starts out with a little day drinking. Shortly thereafter the mating dance commences. Usually ends up with our poor booby going home alone.

Yeah, if nothing else that's an entertaining thread. Makes my head hurt, but entertaining nonetheless.

I wouldn't say that it's a black and white issue in the way you put it. Remember to take into account the unintended consequences. For example, if a fans of a football match are banned from the stadium, then instead of watching the match all in the open air, they would all pile into pubs and all watch the same match indoors in much closer proximity to each other, and this could very well increase the chances of it spreading, compared with the default option - the open air stadium.

Yes, even though the coronavirus that causes SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is not believed to be an airborne virus per se - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post17396770 , social distancing is also warranted to help curb the spread. Here in the U.S., there’s already been a public awareness campaign going on for a while now as to encouraging people to stay 6 feet away from others in public.

For those who haven’t yet heard about celebs testing positive - https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/11/enter...rus/index.html

You’ve got to try to get ahead of this virus, of which we here in the U.S. have been behind the curve (the botched, woefully delayed test kits roll out) which means we’ve got to prepare our hospitals NOW for any surge. Which includes such things as having more supplies, equipment as I said a week ago, e.g. -
