Yep, you have a main out which would go to display and then a sub for the AVR to send lossless audio.

The audio out to the receiver to where. I don't have a HDMI audio input on my AVR. TV is already hooked to an HDMI input.

Your Onkyo has 5 HDMI inputs and 1 output.

HDMI Main from player to one of your HDMI inputs on the display

HDMI Sub from player to one of the five inputs on the Onkyo

When you watch a flick set your display to whatever input the player is connected, and set your AVR to whatever input the player is connected. Video from the display and audio from the AVR.

Couldn't have said it better. I also have a 4k / not HDMI 2.0a receiver, so I'm doing the same thing : one HDMI cable between the player and the TV, the other one between the player and receiver. Like I used to with my S790 for 3d when my old receiver was not compatible.

No need to buy a new one for now, few titles are in Dolby atmos at the moment.

Plus not everyone wants to add 2 new speakers again

Yeah, if I would not have sold some gear and swapped up from my Denon 4520, I woould have been doing the same thing. Not worth an AVR upgrade.

Does anyone know if this thing supports the netflix 4k or our we still waiting for anupdate?

I sure wish vudu would play uhd titles on this as well. It would make my life much easier with a non 4k receiver.

It doesn't support HDR or Dolby Vision on Netflix or Amazon. I'm using my LG apps for that right now. They do support HDR & Dolby Vision on both.

VUDU 4K is still a no go on my TV apps or the Samsung Player. Walmart must have locked up a deal with Vizio for an exclusivity agreement on that one for a certain time.

Can any Denon users with HDCP 2.2/HDMI 2.0 connections confirm 100% that playing 4K content does not require dual connection from the player to the display and from the player to the receiver? Thank you

My X4200W and AV7702 pass 4k/HDR fine with one HDMI (passive cable).

Is samsung saying that at some point it will support netflix and amazon hdr and vision?

Have you tried some of VuDu UHD content? it seems that some users are having issues streaming VuDu content in UHD

What Netflix UHD content have you tried? Please try to play the Oceans, Deserts, Flowers shorts available on Netflix, and let us know if those work just the same as the rest.

If you don't mind, could you at least try to play one of those UHD shorts on Netflix? I keep getting audio but no video on those, and a message on the screen saying that my TV is not HDCP 2.2 ready

I thought I read somewhere that Samsung promised a firmware update to add Amazon HDR support in April. Looks like they'll miss that deadline. One would hope if they add Amazon HDR, they'll do the same for Netflix.

At least in the meantime, I can access Amazon HDR via the app on my Samsung JS9500. The Netflix app won't even load on the TV though, so I have no idea if that supports HDR at the moment(I don't think it does).

Ok, but our player supports amazon 4k, youtube 4k and netflix 4k right?
