Mine looked good. Had it wall mounted with the TV and my sound bar I had at the time. Waiting for a higher end 4K UHD blu-ray player because Samsung's blu-ray players just end up being junk...

Any news?
This is what is happening to me, which is really strange: I have not received yet my 4K Vizio TV, so I am using the Samsung 8500 for regular 1080p blurays and Netflix/Amazon. Here is what's happening with Netflix....Every time I try to play a UHD program like Daredevil, or one of those nature musical shorts, whether I have the player's resolution set on Auto or 1080p I am unable to get video but only audio, while on the screen a message appears telling me that my TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant. I know my TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant, in fact I am using a projector in 1080p, but why cant I play those Netflix titles in regular HD? Should the Samsung player downscale to the capability of my display device? When I play those original Netflix UHD programs on my Roku device they play just fine in 1080p |

But Amazon and Netflix handle 4k fine. The Netflix app is glitchy too though. Far too often the screen turns black when I stop playing something and I have to reboot the player. Samsung's got some work to do. |

Yes, I have. And I've almost never been able to get the Netflix app to load on the JS9500. The rest of the apps seem to work fine, so I'm pretty sure it ain't the TV.

Over on avs,I never see this complaint in the js9500 thread . I use Netflix daily on my js9500 with no issues. Your issue must be specific to your tv. I would try reinstalling the app, or doing a smart hub reset. |

My player just arrived today. Tried to play the Lego 4K but a message pops up on the screen "HDR device not recognized" I click ok and it plays but only in 1080. I tried the YouTube app on the player and can play 4K videos but the screen drops out for a few seconds every 10 to 30 second intervals.
I need to update my sig. My tv is a 4K curved Samsung 65" HU9000 |

Just looking at calibrator comments and the disarray with HDR10 and the fact DV is better laid out. Probably gonna be '17 or '18 before this still really settles in accuracy wise. Just enjoy it now as an early adopter
