Will do.

Kinda wish you could swap that signal on the fly.

So many different locations, shots & light effects with Exodus. I honestly didn't think that film would look as good as it does regardless of player setting.

Yep

1:12:56 (Exodus)

I notice with Enhanced, colors are also a bit more vibrant & dark areas are light better.. however I see noise.

With Ycbr, colors & some fine detail is lost. Any dark areas in scenes get washed out black but no noise in the picture.

Which one do you prefer?
Also, do you use dynamic on picture setting for uhd?

No matter what I do I get the HDCP 2.2 error with this player. I use a Denon 2200w receiver with my LG 55EF9500. All should be able to do HDCP 2.2, but this player always gives me the error. The menu only plays in 1080p, but the movie is playing in 2160p. Any idea how to fix this?

Try bypassing the avr and using the dual hdmi

Hey guys, I highly recommend getting the new HDMI 2.0a cable! I was having all kinds of problems with whichever 4K movie I put in with the picture looking cloudy and washed out and no matter which settings I changed, nothing helped. I couldn't get decent contrast or anything but when I switched my cable to this new one it fixed everything!! The picture on all of my UHD movies is now absolutely stunning and spectacular!! I did some research and found out that the 2.0a cable is the updated one which handles the HDR. Now I'm totally thrilled with everything!

I prefer,

"Standard" for player Picture Settings
"Enhanced RGB" for player tool settings.

The rest is up to my Sony tv which does not support HDR & is not "Full Array"
It does have standard local dimming which is a half baked version of that.

Watched Hitman: Agent 47 & that film definetly looks 4K throughout. Gonna give Kingsman a spin tomorrow.

May stop by Best Buy tomorrow. I saw dem cheapo Rocketfish brand 18Gb/s cables. I don't want that crap in my theater.

Pretty sure HDMI 2.0 cables do the same thing as 2.0a cables. There's no way I'm not seeing HDR when I play these UHD titles.

I messed around with the settings on my TV (LG UH8500 series). UHD Blu-rays would look dark but colors were too vibrant. Wildstyle's lipstick from The Lego Movie had this super neon pink look. You can't change the UH8500 TV out of HDR mode like some of the other brands. So I dug around the menu in the HDR mode and found Dynamic Contrast. I turned it up to high and it got rid of the darkness and fixed the extreme color look. If someone else has this series TV and is having issues, try out modifying that setting.

Did this get sold out for anyone else? Best Buy told me next shipments don't come in until late March-early April

Looks like Best Buy sold out again online. I have yet to find any store to actually carry stock in stores. I'm still waiting for Amazon to ship mine.

Have you tried to go to a store and ask them to check stock in other stores in the area?

Yeah. Nothing anywhere near me. They said they could put me on a waiting list, but at that point I figured Amazon would be quicker (plus I had some Amazon gift cards to spend), but now I'm still stick in the waiting game. Hopefully not for much longer.

Well darn then. I guess Amazon is my best bet but I hate paying more for shipping.

EDIT: Nope, not doing it through Amazon. I'll just go on the damned waiting list and hope that it comes earlier than late March. And I mean much earlier, like tomorrow morning early.

Unbelievable this shortage of players. I don't think it's due to production issues since actually the player came out 3 weeks early. I think it's because they underestimated demand. Hopefully BB and other retailers will get in a bunch of players soon.

They haven't even really made it to the shelves yet, given the waiting lists. If they do they're gone right away. Amazon doesn't have nor does the official Samsung site for that matter (where I originally preordered from but thankfully changed to BB).

I really don't know what's going on and why they can't deliver more players.
