What I don't get is that my Vizio D manual clearly states that HDMI ports 1, 2, and 5 are the ones HDCP 2.2 compliant...However the only port that allows me to play UHD movies in 2160 is HDMI port 5...If I connect the UHD player to port 1 or 2 it instantly downscales to 1080 resolution (???)

What about resolution and color range? I noticed that if I force 2160 in the settings I cannot change color range to ycbcr 444, and viceversa (basically the player wont let me set 2160 resolution with ycbcr 444 color range together, only one or the other)

Not sure there. I would not think the color range would reduce the resolution, though I think if it was unsupported by the TV it would just not work at all. At least that's how my LG is.

Have you tried to change color range from Auto to YCBCR on your Sammy while setting resolution from Auto to 2160? Like I said on my TV I can only set either 2160 with color range on auto, or color range in ycbcr with resolution on auto

Hi I just bought the player and I noticed that there are issues with the HDMI signal sometimes when you first boot it up and when a UHD disc starts playing, the TV (Sony X850 55 inch 4k hdr) displays a "no input signal error." I'm using Rocketfish high speed 18 gbs per second cables. Another issue with this player is that it will not display netflix titles such as Marco Polo in HDR but only in 4k resolution. Has anyone else encountered these issues?
FYI, when my TV is fed an HDR source through it's android netflix app, Ultra 4k movie app or a UHD Blu-Ray it automatically switches to HDR picture mode. |

Also, HDR isn't available on Netflix on the player yet IIRC, but it is on the TV. |
