FoxConnect is saying 2/9 as the shipping date for their UHD titles. Worst Buy still shows 3/1.

I checked back online at their website and now it states March 1st, 2016 again....unreal. I may call their customer service to find out more but it may have been a glitch; yesterday it was February 9, 2016 and now back to March 1. Oh well....

Yeah, FoxConnect is back to saying 3/1 as well. Until there's an official announcement from Fox, I'm gonna assume that's the actual release date.

I have a couple of titles on pre-order from FoxConnect, but the most are from Best Buy with one or two from Amazon. I hope they are not to far apart if for some reason Fox pulls in the release date.

I got notice from Amazon about Life Of Pi changing to Feb 9th.

I also checked on Amazon and you're right, Life of Pi in 4k has a release date of February 9th, whereas everywhere else it is still March 1st for all 4k titles. I don't know if that is the error or not.

Personally I think with the Samsung player coming out much earlier than we expected the studios may be gearing up to release all the movies already released on the blu ray format much earlier to coincide with the release of the player itself; outside of the Peanuts Movie which has not been released at all yet, why hold off on releasing all the other titles that already have a blu ray release? That doesn't make much sense to me so here is hoping that February 9th will be the new date and they will make it official across all websites that are offering pre orders....

So I'm guessing that the hoped-for mid-February release of the Samsung player won't happen. We're about two weeks away from the big date that folks were talking about, and so far no word. Surely if it was going to happen by then, we'd have already received some sort of confirmation from folks working behind the scenes? I would assume shipments don't suddenly appear on a store's doorstep without advance notice...

Sigh.

Actually yes the shipments may very well just happen outta nowhere.

The best buy employee said they will start selling the day they recieved stock.

With last years sek3500 upgrade box for samsung owners, quite a few people preordered them through Amazon and Tiger direct, and they showed up to those people very early and without any notice, sending everyone else into a frenzy because there was no warning.

That's what we get for being so bloody fearful about new technology (that isn't a ****ing mobile phone) in this country. It doesn't help that we're lumped in with Europe though so we also have to wait while they add all the extra set up languages, make sure that it confirms to localised standards etc etc.

Last week Best Buy confirmed my special order delivery of my Samsung-UBD-K8500 Player as February 12 or February 14. That was confirmed only a week ago. Discs still firmly released no earlier than March 1, 2016. Bummer.
