![]() Just order a HDFury Integral as well, because Your OLED HDCP2.2 port doesn't accept a 4K60 4:4:4 signal. https://www.hdfury.com/shop/splitter...60-444-600mhz/ 4K60 4:4:4 600MHz 18Gbps > 4K60 4:2:0 300 MHz 10.2Gbps conversion Mostly all UHD TV sold until recently can only accept 4K60 when it comes in the form of a 4K60 4:2:0 300MHz signal. However new sources, new displays and current high end graphics cards are outputting 4K60 4:4:4 (600MHz – 18Gbps). Integral is solving that arising issue and will let you run a main 4K60 4:4:4 600MHz signal through while offering at the same time a secondary output at 4K60 4:2:0 300MHz for the Level B, bandwidth limited, equipment in your setup. I was able to isolate the issue with setting 4:4:4 on my player. It seems that the player will allow me to select 4:4:4 when resolution is set at 1080. If resolution is set on Auto or 2160 color space automatically defaults back to Auto...I don't get it!

Because mostly all UHD TV sold 4K 10bit 4:2:2 only... Short two years. 12bit 4:4:4 60p or 24p Rec.2020 on UHDTV lifecycle continue 5 years or more. |

If this has previously been posted in this thread, I apologize.
I contacted Samsung to complain about the remote and here's an excerpt from their response: "Samsung design its products after extensive research and taking feedbacks from the customers. As of now, we don't have any reported discontent about the player remote. There is no option to use a different remote with the player. You may have to use the remote provided with the player. However, we will consider your comments as a feedback." They should read this thread. |

Note I initially had a similar problem. Worked directly but not through my Denon. It took an LG (yes the OLED TV) software update to correct it.

I tried to bypass the receiver and connect player directly to 4K Oled but the same problem occurrs. I can only set color space 4:4:4 when resolution is set at 1080. If resolution is set at 2160 or Auto the player instantly defaults back to color space Auto

If you look back on this thread Auto is one of the recommended settings, when you set resolution to auto or 2160 and play a 4k movie does the display info on TV show 4:4:4? If so you should be fine

i can set res on Auto, 1080, or 2160, that is not the issue. The issue is that I can only select color space 4:4:4 when in 1080 resolution. If I try to select 4:4:4 in Auto re or 1080 res the player immediately bounces back to Auto

No I meant Auto for color space, if you set it to auto and set resolution to auto or 2160 what does the TV display for color space while playing a 4k movie?

From what I've read if your TV supports 4:4:4 color the player should recognize that and select it automatically(in Auto setting). Even if it's reverting back to auto it still might be using 4:4:4 color
Of course I'm speculating ![]() |

I have no clue what the diff color space settings mean, all I know is what I've read here that 4:4:4 is for 10bit HDR displays, not even sure that's right.
Someone on this thread with the same TV I have recommended RGB/enhanced or standard depending on content, but I honestly could not tell any diff so I keep it at Auto now |

Your Samsung UBD-K8500 have two HDMI outputs for video and audio. But your AV/receiver has limited high connector cable for 10gbps HDMI for 4K24p 4:2:2 Straight to your OLED has unlimited higher connector for 18 gbps HDMI for 4K24p 4:2:2 Buy HDfury ingetral ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Opips3; 08-05-2016 at 04:22 PM. |
