It is very dumb to have on-screen commands that disappear on a timer...You can rewind ot fastforward through a scene, but once you are ready to click on the PLAY icon the on-screen commands are long gone! ![]() |

can anyone share the correct player's picture settings for playing UHD discs on non UHD displays? Not sure if resolution must be set on Auto or 1080, and if I have to change color space or leave on auto...I tried to play Warcraft UHD disc on my Sony projector but I must be doing something wrong as the picture looks worse than on regular bluray

If you choose Auto on resolution it will choose highest resolution your projector is capable of, so 1080 assuming your projector is Bluray right? I leave it on Auto for color space.
So you play UHD's on your projector to get the better sound format? Why not just play the bluray and use DSU? |

You could just use the DSU which from my experience is still pretty good, not quite as distinct height sounds as true Atmos tho
Not sure why UHD would look poorly on your projector but I imagine compared to your 4k HDR display it's night and day. If there was more 4k content out there I would go out and buy an HDR display today cause there's a noticeable bump in overall PQ compared to my non HDR 4k set. Colors on bluray do look dead compared to an HDR image with WCG |

I personally don't plan to buy this unit and will wait for next years units to come out before I make a decision on what to buy. In the past I have found the second years models of new technology offer better features at a much better price. |
