I know, I wrote that it works fine on other ports, but would love to watch on port 5 (4k @ 60Hz), the other ports are 4k @ 30Hz.

So how does the 4k UHD disk play on all other HDMI ports (4K @ 30Hz) on my Vizio TV and not on my 5 port? (4k @ 60Hz)

I could never get it to work on the preferred port when we had our Vizio. With it working on HDMI1, we still got a 2160p picture. It looked pretty nice. Ours was a 2015 non-HDR 4K Vizio.

No doubt! It looks fantastic! You're not at all curious as to why it won't work on port 5?

And playing UltaHD 4k from Netflix works fine and is spectacular (app straight from my TV). I want that from my 4k UHD Disks!! haha.

I called Vizio and Samsung and neither could answer the question.

Well, isn't that great. I just sent an e-mail. We'll see. It's quite annoying.

yes if you have not updated the firmware before. Make sure its the latest. If that dosnt work, you will need to raise a support ticket with samsung, making sure you out the firmware details in.

Hi!
I bought this player couple days ago and i have non hdr 4k tv, and still 4k look stunning and blurays too but my question is that do i need to manually change players resolution to 1080p when i watch normal blurays? Because players upscailing makes picture wierd lookin sometimes... I have all settings set to auto except resolution...

The new firmware ver 1012.1 fixes the DTS issue of the the media player. Before the update, video files with DTS audio tracks (such as mkv) used to play without sound. It was really annoying. It's great that they finally fixed that.

Hey man - correct. Set to 1080 resolution to try letting your tv upscale. Frustrating thing for me is this has never worked on my unit. It refuses to accept the 1080 selection and just always stays on 2160!

For me the players upscailing looks good but there are times when it creates atrifacts and other wierd stuff in the picture... And tv upscales better so im going to watch bluray on 1080p and let the tv do the upscailing
