I really hate this "recommended" section of apps. It's what my current Samsung Blu-ray player also has, but even worse: I've got 4 recommended apps (none user selectable) on the Blu-ray start menu and to access the apps I actually want, I need to go to the App section first. Huge waste of time.

As much as I love Samsung products (I own quite a lot), there are some things about the software that bother me extremely. This is one of them.

Seriously look at this from the UBD-K8500:

Only 3 of 6 apps are selectable for the start menu. Rest are advertisements.

I ordered my K8500 through Magnolia Design Center when I purchased my 65JS8500. Looking forward to next week for sure! First two movies are The Martian and Kingsman: The Secret Service

That's where mine is at as well. If Fox Connect doesn't deliver my movies by Thursday, then I'll go to Best Buy and pick up a couple (although do not want to pay $30, but I gotta have something to feed the player).

Of all the launch Fox titles, am really only looking forward to The Martian. But knowing me, I may break down and get X-Men DoFP and Life of Pi, as well.

Mine also still says processing. I think because of the expedited shipping, they're not going to send those out for a few more days so they don't arrive before the 10th. At least that's my theory.

I hate to be overly nitpicky but I wish people who post "videos' would understand the difference between a series of still pictures and actual video.

I'd love to hear that guy giving us a commentary and observations of his experiences hooking up his new player. Still pictures and easy listening piano music aren't what I'm looking for.

I know there isn't a hard street date on the discs but was there ever legit confirmation that at least one of the publishing companies would have their films available day 1?

I've been trying to follow the thread but it's rough.

I heard that Best Buy will have some movies in stock next Thursday (maybe even Wednesday if that's when the player will be in stock). Don't know from which studios though.

BTW, you can preorder the Lionsgate and Sony titles cheaper through Amazon.ca. I ordered 5 of them for $97 shipped. May as well take advantage of the favorable exchange rate.
