HDR doesn't seem to work on the blu-ray player.

I tried it on the JS9000 and it worked fine. I used Mozart in The Jungle as a test, and saw my settings automatically change for HDR content.

I tried this twice and powered the blu-ray player off in case if their were a glitch, and the second time had the same result no HDR playback.

I'm assuming this is another update issue.

Other than PQ, all these questions are irrelevant in Canada.

Confirmed the blu-ray player does not have HDR tags on Amazon. I've checked Mozart in The Jungle, Red Oaks, Chi-Raq.

On my JS9000 all HDR tags are shown.

Alright cool. Gonna need to keep checking periodically to see if it gets added. My guess is that on amazons end, the k8500 needs to be added to their access list.

Has anyone else ordered their UHD Blu Ray player from crutchfield.com. I just received an email that they changed my ship date from 2/17 to unknown and they claim that Samsung can't give them an estimated date.

VUDU confirmed that the Samsung UHD player is not on their approved device list. The request to include it was forwarded to their engineering dept. It should show up here eventually.

I hope it gets included because it'd be a great way for people with non-Samsung TVs to be able to access the MGO Vidity titles.

I believe the display has to be VIDITY compatible as well as the player or storage device. Right now the only displays authorized are Samsung.

The VIDITY app could be added to other displays as an update.

The LG OLEDs with HDR may already have the VIDITY app. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=67
