Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but Vudu now works, no UHD as far as I can tell.

Maybe updating the firmware caused it to go bad. Have you tried unplugging it & plugging it back in?

I changed my cabling and its working now. Going through my receiver was causing this issue...weird.

Anyway, my wife finally got home with Fantastic Four and The Martian. Popped in F4 and so far it looks crystal clear, but I don't know if it's lightyears ahead of upscaled blu. Gonna put in The Martian real quick...

The pause button is one of the biggest buttons lol. From what I can tell, you cannot pause and then skip frame by frame.

Watching some more of Kingsmen. The UHD version looks way better, especially when you get closer. This looks so good, that I impulsively moved my recliner in to where I'm less than 5 feet away (65" TV). From there the difference is very significant. There is absolutely no question that there is more actual resolution in the UHD. It looks wonderful, and if this is the way it's going to be then I'm a very happy camper. And I don't even have HDR yet. I think people may be underestimating the visual improvement that this increased resolution will bring, especially from up close.

A few more notes:

1) movies come in eco cases (ugh!)

2) Pressing the title menu (pop-up) menu leaves you in the movie. I had pressed the disc menu before, when it stop the movie to take you to the menu. The buttons and print are so small on this remote.

3) Disc does have the bookmark feature

Just got done watching Kingsman and I thought it looked fantastic. Glad I waited to watch it when it was announced as a launch title.

Same here. I hope the others I ordered look this good. If so, I'm in for a real treat.

Stopped in at local BBY at 4 pm today, no UHD's on the floor. Didn't have any SKU's in hand so I'll just check back each day. Don't have a 4k tv, so just getting Martian for the BD and future proofing. Want to get Mad Max and Sicario (sp?) for same reasons when they hit their street dates to support the format.

Great to see all the enthusiasm for our movie hobby/ passion.
I wonder if UHD-BD's will be in the Sunday ad, since the set dates have been confirmed for Sunday? Hmm...

just an FYI to people. you might wanna keep UHD color turned OFF. im finding that my constrast and black levels are like triple with it turned off.

im also getting sky banding with the martian. not sure if the problem is in my chain or what.

overall it destroys blu ray. i put the blu ray in for few minutes and it did not look good lol the colors sucked, and it looked blurry.

So... where's everyone getting the players? Do Best Buy stores have them in stock too? Don't see the point of rushing out to pick up movies with no player.

Talking to a guy from Spectracal. He's also watching the martian I hdr and noticed the same banding. He ran 10 bit gradient patters, the tv passed but the player failed. So, there may be a slight issue.

I doubt they will have it in the ad, my understanding is they plan these weeks in advance. I would however expect it for the original March 1st release week.

Please help guys. I have everything set up but every time I click on Amazon app or Youtube app on Samsung player and click on a video I get this message, no signal please check the input connection. Blu-ray plays fine but as soon as I go to the app to play something I get the error. My tv is LG 55EF9500 if it matters. I have the main HDMI going to my TV and audio going to my Sony sound bar

Thanks
