Arranging for my truck to be picked up at the hospital my fiancee works at since she told me she was having mechanical issues this morning, which means she'll need a ride home tonight and of course she found out she has to work late today. Grr dunno if I'll have any time to look at the truck when I get off work but fortunately she's off tomorrow so she won't need it anyway.

bleeding (not much, though)...and waiting on my pizza to be done so i can eat lunch.

the bleeding is because i was cutting a croissant open to put some butter on it (small snack while i wait for the pizza to cook..i'm hongry). i was using my pocket knife, and it's extremely sharp. well, i went right through the croissant and into my finger. but like i said, it's not bleeding much 'cause i felt it as soon as i hit my finger and stopped. so it didn't go in too deep. i put some antibacterial medication on it and wrapped it with a finger bandage.

Right now, im dusting my old bookcase i still have since I was a little kid during the 1980s. My grandfather made me the bookcase

I also found out that as I was trying to rearrange books in the bookcase, the hardcovers of Stephen King's Under the Dome and Just After Sunset they barely fit into the bookcase where I set the up vertically. But I slanted them in sideways to get them in the bookcase. Then I put the rest of the paperback books back in the bookcase but there are some books that i should just leave out to make room for other stuff or something.

Pretty much most of the books in my bookcase are all Star Wars books. the old paperbacks of the Thrawn trilogy and the entire New Jedi Order series along with the old worn out paperback of Star Wars original trilogy and the rest are a few of the newer stuff such as Star Wars Disciple, Corascaunt Nights book 4 Last Jedi and the Darth Bane trilogy and then I got the Mistborn books crammed in while the bottom shelf is full from the 2004 Star Wars DVD set, the Extended Lord of the Rings movies, Seinfeld, Simpsons and Smallville and some original Playstation games.

I think its time to buy myself a brand new bookshelf that that's taller where I should at least get a new bookshelf that has 3 or 4 shelves in it

I keep telling myself to tone it down with Star Wars novels lol but old habits kick in.

Back then in the mid 1990s i used my old bookcase for movies for VHS pretty much anyway

If you had had a more busy schedule, well, you wouldn't have had time to bleed

Debating whether I want to go home for a few hours before it's time to pick the Girl up from work or see if my buddy's shop is open so I can get my truck up on a lift and risk being late to pick the Girl up

just got through responding to an email from my previous vehicle insurance company. they're saying i still owe them the money for the last month i was "insured" by them....for non-payment. and they said that if i could provide proof i had insurance through another company on the date the policy with them went into cancellation, then they may be able to waive the amount owed and any fees associated with it. what the hell does it matter to them if i had insurance with another company or not?!

they're not the boss.
they don't make the rules.
and i certainly don't recognize them as anyone with ANY authority over anything i do.

oh, and the email said things like "in your best interest". how about i say what's in my best interest, huh? the only thing they're interested in is getting more money. and if they can't continue to do business without the less than $200 they say i owe, then they're in more serious trouble than that amount will help.

of course, the email was sent after i messaged them and explicitly told them to stop contacting me (quite a number of calls and other emails had been sent).

gotta love how insurance companies try to use bully tactics to get people to pay. do people really fall for their crap?

Looks like a full work day today, then date night with the Girl. We were planning to go see The Mule but it looks like the only showing tonight is after 7pm - that may be too late since we both have to wake up early for work tomorrow. Guess I'll wait and see what she wants to do, may just order a pizza and watch a blu-ray at home
