Sorry Mike. Not to rub it in, but have the day off. On the bright side, I probably won’t be able to fully enjoy it. I ask The Mrs if she wanted to go out and do something just her and I? She said I doubt anything will be open. So her solution to that was ask The Boy if he’d like to sit down and watch Endgame as a family. I swear, it feels like this woman doesn’t want to spend any alone time with me that doesn’t involve errands or chores. I might start drinking early

Back on topic. I think I’ll wrap up the forum, get myself cleaned up and maybe play a little Ryse to get me closer to some achievements. Then, maybe an afternoon nap if we don’t watch a movie.

Was browsing the boards at tenniswarehouse.com and then just checked the wiki page for Rudimental's These Days song which features Jess Glynne and Macklemore. I actually thought it was a Macklemore song. I had to check out Rudimental's wiki page and I saw that they're from Hackney so I went to Hackney's wiki page and then checked out notable people from Hackney and sure enough, one of the best voices in Hollywood is indeed from Hackney.

About to head in for an extra few hours of work this morning, I would've flat out said no but since school is on holiday too, I can't use that as an excuse. Oh well, at least I'll still have a couple extra hours this afternoon to study! 3 of the past 4 Mondays, sheesh.

It's okay Don. I can't complain too much I took Thurs off which gave me a 4 day weekend, which is more than some who are off today got. oh and the Mrs was scheduled off today but volunteered to work tonight on top of her regular 3am-3pm shift tomorrow...so guess the kid's sitting home alone right now hmmm...

You guys are making good money though, right?
I would be if I was at work.

I'm gonna get some ice cream and put on a movie. Probably have to get some for The Mutts too.

Just finished the XB1 system update that was released last month. Man, I really need to turn on/use my console more often.

Enjoying my Labor Day paid holiday.

Nope, just a bit of extra cash and a free dinner to make up for Monday ruined. Think I'll have a spicy chicken fried steak sandwich, that'll help me feel better! Just read 12 pages in my marriage textbook, better than I expected to do during this quick break between helping out this morning and closing tonight.

Just got out of the shower. Hauled about 70 pounds of tree branches this morning.
Sadly, my yard work is never, ever done.

Currently eating Mickey Mouse waffles that I bought from Target.

Where’s Bizcat at lately?

I’m sitting here drinking a whiskey mixer, scrolling through the forum and listening to my Spotify Discover Weekly before I switch over to my trying to get through another Ryse achievement. My left shoulder is bugging me a bit and I hope it eases up by Wednesday. I almost feel like going in for an adjustment or massage at this point. I feel like it, and my hip hurt due to my throwing out my back at my old job.

Ha I wish! My employer ditched holiday and Sunday differential pay years ago. Now they penalize us if we call out on a holiday. It sucks, but its a job and my regular compensation is pretty decent for the work I do, its one of the reasons I'm still there even after moving 1.5-2hrs away.

OT: Watching some more A-T (Appalachian trail) thru-hike videos on YouTube with the kid. We just wrapped up the vlog series of the family of 8 (?) who hiked it last year, now we're starting one by a 20-30 yr old overzealous girl who hiked it around the same time as them, informative and entertaining.

Trying to figure out which gun cleaners to order to clean my guns. I usually use CLP but been using some stuff that I had left over in Iraq. Ran out so now I have to find something new lol.

i recently watched a vid (last night, actually) where a guy was using some stuff called LSA. granted, he was using it for lubrication and NOT for cleaning. but he said it was great stuff. so i've been looking at it and thinking of ordering some.

https://www.amazon.com/PACK-Weapons-Military-Lubricant-Protectant/dp/B07DH4ZS89/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_200_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID =6VRXY15WJ9M5JME7KYXH (it's not exactly cheap)

i currently use lucas extreme duty gun oil. it's what came with my 1911 from the factory; so i decided to order some more and use that for lubricating.

for cleaning, i've been using clp for a bit. and while it's good, i was thinking of changing to a single-purpose cleaner like hoppe's #9.

I heard decent things about Hoppes and Remington as well. Haven't tried either but I'm always down for trying new stuff. I did order some of those Remington wipes to wipe down my rifles. I'll look into that LSA stuff.

So I was looking at this was the stuff that I was using in conjunction with CLP overseas.

i looked at those rem wipes. i bought a rem cloth. it's impregnated with remoil and did a decent job. but it dried out pretty quick..and i kept it in a resealable it came in every time i used it to wiped down my pistol or rifle. but it's a decent quality cloth and is good for general cleaning.

I saw one of those as well. I didn't order it but was wondering about it. May order one those to try out. Now just need to find bulk 45 acp ammo. Trying to get more range time with my Glock 21SF.

I think I'm going to either get a Glock 19 or a Glock 19X. Not sure which one though.

I haven't cleaned my hunting rifle in forever. Thank you for the reminder.

I just got home from a walk with the FurBrats. Having black dogs, wearing dark clothes in a poorly light area of town probably isn't a great idea. I should look around for flashing l.e.d. collars.
