Woof, I can't even sniff a Corona any more. I went on several day sailing trip around the coast of Florida with some friends years ago and that's the only beer we brought on board. Needless to say, I haven't had a drop since.

Just got back from Taco Bell and now surfing a bit before I get some rest. Feeling more tired today which is good. It took me too long to fall asleep yesterday which wasn't good. Would like to check out the Super Bowl but I got to get some rest.

Before I hit Taco Bell, I went to Cycle Gear to make my first big gear purchase for the motorcycle I don't yet have. The helmet was $749.99 but the coupon I had brought it down to $599.99 before tax so to that. Now, I might order me a $279 Paka Lightweight Puffer because, damn it, I saw a picture on the internet and now I need it

WOW!!! You should win father of the year for that easily. If I had kids that, God forbid, wanted to go to a show like that I would tell them when hell freezes over. I know. it's not the right way to be parenting. But I can't abide doing things like that. Of course, that's a bit hypocritical of me. My oldest sister has been dragged to some Godawful concerts according to her. She's pissed I didn't take her to see Bruce Springsteen, but had to drag her to artists like the Pixies or Liz Phair. But then she didn't take me to see Prince, so we're even. And I think Liz Phair is a damn sight better than Bruce Springsteen. Easier on the eyes, that's for sure.

Heh...that was like in '98. There was a supermarket with a vending machine out front that had 'em for .50 and we would load up before hitting the courts or driving to the Bronx for a Yankees game.

Did a lot of shi* today so my back is cooked. Resting up before the big snow storm coming in tomorrow afternoon/evening. Looks like we are on track for 3-6".

Not really. Not me anyway. I make under $40,000 a year. My Pool is the neighborhood pool that comes with the condo I got. My oldest sister, though, does fairly well for herself. On her own she's a nurse anesthetist and did/does fairly well. My brother-in-law is a Neurosurgeon. So, they do REALLY well. She just lucked out in life. I, sadly, did not. I don't make a WHOLE lot, have no drive to do better, don't have half the creative talent she does (she's crafty and she can paint), & I look like Clint Howard's illegitimate son.

Go shorty, it's the weekend. I'm not gonna party like it's the weekend I will take my fatass to Mountain Mike's for the lunch buffet though and that's where I currently am. A nearby Roundtable has started offering the buffet again as well and I'm eager to try it out. Roundtable was always my number one spot for pizza.

I'm not sure what I'll do afterward. I might hit up some car dealers and see if I can take a test drive. I wouldn't mind whippin and dipping a Mercedes through the streets

Never saw a Mountain Mike's when I was out in California but Round Table was where it was at for pizza while I was there. Round Table and In-n-Out should have national locations, just sayin'. Oh, and Randy's Donuts in LA... Never waited so long for a freaking doughnut in my life, but damn was it worth it especially after a day of hiking and roaming around Hollywood. I really wish I took more time to explore instead of working the whole time I was out there, but Newsom's lock down restrictions pretty much gave me no choice, and besides I was there to make money so...

Lunch is done. Came to Campbell it hit a motorcycle gear shop but had to hit Dairy Queen first for a Blizzard. Mint Butterfinger…yeah, not on the menu. Custom. I got clout like that Not sure if all DQs offer a military discount but this one does so appreciate that.

I saw a cute Latina on the light rail. Right before she got off, she asked if I spoke Spanish. I don’t but I think I was able to tell her that she wanted to be on the other light rail line that runs a different route. I should have gotten off and made sure she safely got on her way. I’ve only dated, and use dated very loosely, one Mexican girl and I’m so glad she spoke English. I did do a date where the whole convo was via app and it’s just not the same.

You definitely need to get out here again and this time visit NorCal. What kind of doughnut did you get?

The transport company I applied to awhile back finally reached out again, I'd actually prefer to work there instead of at a direct support agency.

I've never received a military discount at DQ, but I know every Sonic I've been to offers one...believe it's 20% too, not the typical 10% manager discount.

I remember having a hard time choosing, but ended up with a s'mores donut, a plain jelly filled, and a frosted cake donut with sprinkles. Never seen anything like the smores one on the east coast ironically enough, thing was huge - IIRC it was a chocolate glazed yeast donut filled with marshmallow, and topped with graham crackers.
You'll have to give me a list of things to check out in NorCal for the next time I'm out that way.
