I recently set up the FB dating app just for the hell of it and now I'm FB messaging with an Indian woman who lives here in the Bay Area. I think she's in Mountain View so a bit North of San Jose. She's my age and I'd say she's aging pretty darn well

About to get some sleep before tonight's Friday shift Tomorrow is probably going to be the same ol, same ol but I guess I can't complain too much. I'm sure at 2am or so I'll make another post about being on break and trying to decide where I'm going to eat later

Oh, she's just a biking buddy. She's married. And even more of an issue...she's Caucasian

I've matched with quite a few women and not sure how I'm feeling about dating right now. My dating life really doesn't exist and it hasn't for years. That younger woman from work; nothing ever happened but I still feel like my interest in her could keep me from progressing with someone else. I think that's why the other woman I work with and I never made it any further. I didn't share this and I think because this is all anonymous here on BR, it's okay...not like anyone knows her...but she wanted to have sex and I'm attracted to her in that way but I just couldn't do it because of my feelings for this other girl. I think that was the main reason that I didn't do it.

Anyway, didn't expect to bring all that up. Anyway, 6:03pm and it's time for a for more Zzzs before work.

Yeah…it feels like a roller coaster. I’ve seen it change so much but it’s always had that run-down feeling. They had the Pier shops with a water/light show which was neat and drew a lot of people. The Apple Store was there along with your high-end luxury brands: Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. but they’re all gone now and the mall is now shuttered.


No matter what they throw at AC, it never seems like enough. The big 2.4 billion Revel casino which shut down after just two years. I would walk down that end of the boardwalk and just be amazed at how something that big & appealing could fail so quickly.

Up way too early, drinking some coffee, watching some YouTube, and ordering more truck parts. I'm debating on replacing the other 2 tires on my truck even though I don't need them since I was forced to switch models/brands (I needed a front tire and my current set has been discontinued). I'm hoping that since both being all-terrain with a similar tread pattern, there won't be too big of a difference in ride feel but these new ones are a bit more aggressive. Honestly I probably should just rip the bandaid off now since I'll probably end up doing it anyway before winter but I got a bit of sticker shock when I placed the initial order (they're about $350/tire )

Monday's off to good start; I broke my brass bedside lamp to begin the day. The switch was stuck, so I whacked it with the butt-end of a flashlight (with dead batteries- no irony there) and shattered the ceramic fixture that the bulb threads into, but I did no harm to the bulb. I threw the lot of it (except the bulb) into the recycle bin even though it could be fixed. I seldom try to resurrect the inanimate objects that I kill.

Why did I need to turn on a lamp in my bedroom at 9 AM you ask? Because my bedroom has blackout curtains; I keep it as dark as King Tut's tomb.

Now I have to get ready to go to cardiac rehab and I don't wanna go. I would rather send a proxy, any volunteers? It's just an hour of aerobic exercises-you can do it!

When days start like this my inclination is just to go back to bed.
