Since the beginning of Feb my father has been in and out of the hospital over 10 times because they found blood clots in his lungs and legs and in June we were told he has Congestive Heart Failure and that his heart is only working at 50% and that he only has a 10% chance of making any kind of positive recovery but they did give him a life vest so hopefully something helps him improve.

I know it's coming but I'm powerless to do anything about it. Every day he's getting worse, he's having trouble sleeping and eating. It has just been one long depressing shit storm that never seems to let up

I'm sorry to hear that Galactus! My mom has had problems with blood clots before and they found a bad one back in March. She had to be mediflighted to a hospital in Modesto. We almost lost her! I guess she will be on blood thinner for the rest of her life. She said they have found more in her legs I believe but there's nothing much more they can do about it. She doesn't sound too concerned though so I think she'll be ok.

Hoping that your dad gets through as best he can and sticks around a good while (years) longer.

Speaking of phones, I've been trying to get my old iPhone 4 back from the po po. They kept it as evidence last year but I should be able to get it back since that case is settled. my iphone has opened up on one side (like the screen is coming off). no idea why it suddenly did this, but it hasn't stopped it form working.

i first noticed this a few weeks ago. but like i said, it hasn't kept it from working properly. i've had it for over 2 years, so it's def. out of warranty. but as long as it keeps working, i'll hang on to it. especially since i can't afford to upgrade, lol.

Well not getting my phone back kind of forced me to get the 6S+ which I like. I would have not upgraded even to a 5 I don't think if I had gotten my 4 back. Sure having the coolest new gadgets is nice but it's not a necessity for me.

I haven't signed any contracts yet however I have been talking with a recruiter and took the ASVAB. The MOS I'm looking at is 31B ( law enforcement). As for my daughter, theres always the option of her living with her mom in Germany now that shes living in civilian quarters over there otherwise my parents have offered to help out while im away at BCT/AIT but that'll definitely be a last resort option.

That's cool. What is the cut-off age limit for the Army? The only reason that I asked your age is because I had the impression that you were about my age or maybe a bit older. Is there any place in particular that you would like to get stationed? If you did join and once you got through your school to your first permanent duty station, would you have your daughter come join you?

They are pretty much all I've ever owned save for the way old Blackberry models. I'm not tied to the brand/phone and it's not perfect/flawless, but my lady had a Samsung in the past and my Vizio remote is Android-based and to me that OS is SO damn clunky, I can't stand it.
