Nope, despite a nearly 3 hour wait(still bet they did this just to piss me off), I was in and out of the actual termination meeting pretty quickly. Love how they asked me if I agreed with the termination and if I wanted to give reasons why not. Going to be depressing getting up at 5:45 AM every morning without a job to report to. Getting out of this work polo ASAP, I never want to see this crap again.

As far as complaining about all the crap I've seen over the last 3 years like Don suggested, nah. Not only was I tired of being there(I have to go back to discuss what's in my 401k, whut) but I can guarantee no matter how true anything I said was, absolutely no action would've been taken. I filed my first ever HR complaint myself awhile back, guessing HR took absolutely no action. On the upside, I was miserable there, on the downside the rest of the cash I got from that place is going to dry up pretty fast.

Sorry to hear you were let go Batman1980. If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason for termination? Just "eyeballing" people(presumed fall under harassment? ) in the stairway doesn't seem like a right of dismissal assuming it was your first "offense"

On the plus side, being terminated allows you to apply for unemployment until you find a new job.

Well they said not only was I gawking at people, both under normal circumstances and on the stairwell, I was told it bothered people and I needed to stop. I was also told people saw me standing under the stairwell and waiting for girls to go up and down so I could stare at them. None of this is true. I was also never told not to go to a certain office unless I could avoid or that was why I was transferred to a different office in February.

They also got me for eating lunch at that office which supposedly I was told not to do. If that were true I wouldn't have been doing it.

They made up a whole bunch of stuff, including a write up from December I don't remember and I am betting was a forgery.

Smelled like a railroad job to get me out, I know I wasn't popular with a lot of the people higher up the food chain. I am going to look into unemployment but even if I get it I better find another job quick as I don't want to explain all of this to the parents. Not to mention I could lose my car if I miss payments, which is my biggest concern right now other than paying for school.

1. Usually one will get written up for the many minor things you listed before being outright terminated assuming a place is professional and not a small family run business. Of course this same thing happened to me at my last job but that's usually how things are supposed to go.

2. You claimed you were written up once in December. Usually you have to sign a write up and get a copy for your records.

If neither of these happened I'd sue the **** out of them

it really sucks you had to go through that and put up with all that bullshit. i really feel for you, man. i really do. hopefully you can find something more suitable and quickly so you don't have to be strapped for money.

LOL I'm sure they do, it's Cattle Baron, a decent-sized chain in New Mexico that also owns Farley's. Pretty sure they feed employees for every shift, gotta look at the menu before NEO.

I got absolutely fed up at my last job due to all the laziness and stupidity. At least in a dishwasher job, while menial and irritating, you have to put in the work. I did get sick of working there but that was back in 2013. I have working out now too, plus my bachelor's is a light at the end of the tunnel that I didn't have last time.

That sucks. It is good you stayed around. Because if you had left without an exit interview it would be your word against there’s on how you left. If you quit, no benefits. If your fired, benefits. So file for your benefits and see if there are any state assistance programs for your schooling tomorrow. Maybe see how that plays out before going backwards in your employment.

I'll look into the assistance for school but since I am starting another minimum wage job in August, I won't file for the unemployment, no point.
