and paying some bills. Then, I'll probably set up my new printer and do some more chores around the apartment before the Girl gets home from work. I also need to re-figure my budget as I want to start contributing to my savings account again, due to some unexpected expenses I had to dip into it late last year.

Sipping coffee in my slippers and loungies whilst making my famous eggs with hash browns and bacon. Thinking I'm glad we aren't getting any snow.

i need to do mine, as well.

well, i need to re-open it, first, lol. i had one, but i drew all the money out of it for an emergency, then never put any money back into it. and it went on so long that they just closed it out since there was no activity.

but i wanna go open another one, and then have $20 from each paycheck put into there so i won't have to think about putting anything into it (for the most part).

Spent the morning coping with a brutal hangover and staving off the pukies. 4 ibuprofen and a few glasses of V8 and I'm starting to come back to life just in time for some lunch out with the lady.

Went to my first garage sale in years. The owner was selling all movies and TV shows for $3 each or 2/$5.

Walked out with Train to Busan (blu), Colossal w/ slip (blu), and The Magnficent Seven 1960 (blu) all for only $8.

They even had Captain America: Civil War w/slip and Avengers: Infinity War w/slip for $3 each.

Put a big dent in the reading I want to get done today, going to cut my hair before lunch and try to finish off my aging class reading for my first week. Then I want to get started on my middle childhood development class reading before lunch and work! Gotta run a couple errands this afternoon too. At least i'm off work tomorrow so I can just focus on my 13 mile run and studying for my FCS classes.

so i just checked, and i can do it online, now. in the past, you HAD to go into a branch to open one. but i just logged into my checking account to see if there was any way to open a savings account without having to go in....and on the front page of my account was a green button that said "Add a Savings Account"; so i clicked it and now i have another savings account.

then, i went over to my employee portal for work and put in my savings account info for them to take out $20 from each check to be deposited into that account.

hopefully, in the near future, i can raise the amount so i can save more.

I want to be making a lot more than $11 an hour before I start a savings account. Definitely want to start one ASAP once I get a real job so I can save up a nest egg for the next place I'm going to move into. One of the final costs will be hiring a cleaning service since I have no intention of doing any cleaning when I move out of my current place at some point.

Chilling in my lounge whilst my wife preps dinner, then we'll continue watching Supernatural S10 Ep11 as we eat.

that's what i currently make, but i didn't wanna wait any longer, lol. sure i'd make more money on each check if i didn't have the $20, insurance, and 401k coming out of each one (plus $5 for our store fund, which is used for various other things for our store like parties, lunch/dinner on really busy days, etc.) but i'd rather have the insurance i don't have to worry about with making another online payment. and i'd rather start saving money through my savings account and 401k so i'll have something more than nothing when i retire one of these years down the road.

i can understand wanting to wait a bit longer, though, if you're younger (which you are...younger than me ). but i'm not that far from 50 so i need to get really serious about it (should've been more serious about 20 years ago, though.) right now, for me, it's easy since i don't have THAT many bills. but i just don't want to get caught with something to pay for (truck repairs, house repairs, etc.) and no extra money to pay for it.

and watching "Chasing Classic Cars" on TV. Used to watch shows like this all the time with my daughter on Sunday mornings, we'd always dream of finding an old wreck somewhere and restoring it together. Unfortunately it never happened and probably never will.

Filing my taxes, looks like I'll be getting a little bit back .

...and of course New York is ridiculously slow at releasing their forms as always, probably an attempt to squeeze some fees out of us to e-file. F**k that.

I sent mine off to my accountant last week but can't remember what she said about filing...is Trump's asinine shutdown gonna delay getting returns back?
