Yup like the intelligent human being I am, I somehow dropped it between getting out of my car and onto the bus to the El Paso Marathon start line on Sunday. Just finished my Zoom interview with MECA, time to go to Wells Fargo to get cash and then head to the MVD Express to discuss a new drivers license. It actually expires in February 2025 *but* I assume by then I'll be living in Iowa so I have zero intention of adding more years to the replacement. Need to go get that wallet too, hopefully I can find a decent one that doesn't cost too much.

Waiting to get my blood work back too, hopefully my cholesterol has gone down significantly since last January.

Almost forgot today is shave and a haircut day with everything else going on, need to take care of that after lunch before I head to tonight's 5-9 shift and continue to hope a job recruiter calls me soon.

I've never ordered a sandwich from Canes, but their chicken fingers are 1000x better than Popeye's chicken tenders.

There's something about the seasonings Popeye's uses for their spicy chicken, oh and their fries are unbeatable!

I think one thing is for sure they have much higher hiring standards that literally all other fast food places fail at. Never once have i had a rude or lazy pile of non-caring slop wait on me there, and i would say out of all fast food places they are by far the most consistent as far as food quality goes, but it is not surprising because like i said their employees just seem better then other places.

Their waffle fries are also pretty damn good too imo..

Yes! They’re run like a hospitality group and no doubt have strict hiring practices.

I do/did enjoy CFA but the chicken sandwich got smaller along with the prices increasing. Here’s a photo from my last visit!

I rarely go anymore. You get a better value at Popeyes (excellent pickles) or KFC. The McDonald’s copycat is abysmal. Wendy’s spicy chicken is decent.

Wrapping up the mother of my child's tax return and about to fix some leftovers for lunch, at 3pm LOL I think I'm going to install my new pedals on my bike and maybe a test ride if it's not raining, I've never used pedals I have to clip in and out of, Hell I never even knew there were cycling specific shoes out there, so I may need to find a large field to ride around in to save myself some embarrassment when I inevitably fall over. lol
