I’m starting to prepare for the next comic con I’m booked at. Lots of stuff to prepare; and the new price guide comes out on Wednesday, so there’s potentially about 2,500 prices to change. I love doing the shows, but I limit myself to two per year. Because it’s like prepping for the Super Bowl; it’s also quite a bit like being the halftime show performer, too. September is a two day event, and I will need my entire crew. But I handle each and every item personally, I never farm out that end of things.

Sunday afternoon and I want to watch a movie tonight but not sure that I will. I'll be getting up to get ready for work in a little over 8 hours and I still haven't slept after last night's shift. I really enjoy watching movies on Sundays but I think I may just play some damn WWE2K19 and surf a bit before I call it a night. Tonight is my Friday which is nice.

I'm sitting here on the phone while listening to the new Ani Difranco. What a genius. She is a lyrical beast at times. The perfect music and exactly what I was looking for after the Hootie & The Blowfish concert last night. Wanted something not quite trad. rock and roll, but still rock and roll. This fits the bill perfectly. Will probably listen through one more time before closing out the night with something.

Got off work at 6:30am. VA appointment started late at about 10:15am and we went to 11am. Came to Chili's for their awesome 3 for Me deal and afterward, I'll get dessert at Costco. After Costco, I'll probably pop into Barnes & Noble for awhile. End the day at home with a movie for tonight.

Nah, I did an exchange on a Criterion yesterday and then I placed an order in store for two to be shipped to my home. They were all for two people that I'm helping. One is that member here from Hungary and another is for an online friend (from another movie lover site) in Norway. I was tempted to get a title or two for myself but that motorcycle ain't gonna pay for itself. Had I gotten a film or two, it would have been Anatomy Of A Fall or Pinocchio. A third option was WALL-E.

Oh yeah, and B&N would be just to browse through some magazines. There's an issue of Rolling Stone with Shakira on the cover and I wouldn't mind reading the article. I also started an article (in a different Rolling Stone issue) on Cardi B. I'm not a fan of hers but I wouldn't be opposed to reading a piece about her. Nicki Minaj though, just an incredible emcee.

That reminds me that I've got to start that special Mojo on R.E.M. that recently came out. Now there was a masterclass in music and writing. Don't make em like that anymore. TGPS would be my guess.

Read 108 pages of Lasher today, 101 pages left, gotta get through those tomorrow. Probably would've made more progress if I hadn't played so much Madden. Gotta use that Madden time tomorrow to read more! Time for bed!

3:47am and I'm off today so I'm home in bed instead of at work I stopped my movie I was watching last night and was in bed just before 7pm. Not counting the little napping I had done during the day, I had been up for close to 24 hours at that point.

So now, early in the morning, I might go ahead and continue watching The Square.

I was supposed to be moving up to Iowa August 26th but now it's going to be August 5th. Dad's still talking and whining, normal people would stop talking. Gave notice to both employers, not on the schedule with either of them anyway. Also pulled my Indeed applications for all those LC and EP employers I applied to recently to get work. No point in working 2-3 days before I move and adding yet another employer to the list for 2024. Dad just ranting and ranting, I don't care dude. Your constant complaining(Dad) is why I'm happy to be moving and won't miss him one bit after he goes back to LC.

True he is my father, it's just hard to get along with him when he's so aggressively rude 24/7 and then he pretends to be nice when he wants something.

About to go help him put some stuff in the truck before today's 10:00 phone screening then go to the gym for a 5 mile run and a lifting session. Moving Monday so I'll tell Anytime Fitness thanks for the memories but I'm moving so please cancel my membership, guessing it just renewed so I should be good to use it till I hit the road Monday morning.
