We're not much better off, but it's not nearly as bad as Atlanta. A good chunk of our on/off ramps are flooded and it's pouring. Sorry, y'all are having a rough go of it. The rain isn't supposed to let up for quite a few days, so we may get there yet.

Dropped my car off for the exhaust work. A little concerned as the dude who looked it over last week and gave me the quote wasn’t there lol. I hope he was just running a bit behind. No idea who this other guy is. It’s like meeting with a doctor before a major surgery and then getting someone else when you come in for the procedure lol.
I’m at a Dunkin’ and went with a pumpkin iced coffee. |

Did Chinese tonight. Long day walking around Scranton. 11 Miles.
Car exhaust work turned out ok. The dude who looked it over last week was there when I picked up the car. I was concerned he wasn’t there. Quote was the same and he said it went fine except the back part did fall off once he started working on it as expected. Car is def quieter. Should be good 2 go for inspection next week |

Watching men do the horizontal limbo together and wondering why my TV seems to look so MUCH better now. Despite the fact the issues with it haven't gone away. I'm also wondering why the sound is MUCH MORE alive now. Noticed then when watching Live Baby Live on 4K for movie night (my friend's movie was region locked and we couldn't watch it). I'm also wondering whether I should go ahead and stay up all night or go to bed. I have a bunch of things I would like to knock out, but it would probably take all night and morning. HMMMM...

Listening to my vinyl copy of Alanis Morissette's Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie holding to the mood that I have. Need to figure out what to do today.

We got into some heavy rain heading into Gatlinburg as I mentioned. Blue Ridge, Ga was our last stop and heading home the next day, it was pretty surreal to see all of the trees that had been uprooted. I'm not sure what highway/freeway we were on but at some point between Atlanta and Savannah, the right lane was littered with down trees for a good 5-mile stretch I'd say. I think one exit was completely blocked from down trees. When we finally got home from Brunswick, they had been without power since early morning and I think it was out for about 35 hours total. It finally came back on at noon on Saturday. I definitely don't miss these conditions out in California! |

But the droughts, mudslides, water restrictions, wildfires, and earthquakes are BETTER? How does that make any sense? I can tell you assuredly that this doesn't happen often in the South. Specifically the areas you would look at moving to. Georgia doesn't usually get hit quite like this. We don't get weather like this where I live either. The last catastrophic flood we had was dubbed the 100 year flood because that is how often we get floods like that. I would much rather live down here than in weather prone California. Plus, I don't like people telling me what to do.
