Knowing that, I took a final drive in the convertible today. Put about 100 miles on it. Hibernation mode will begin soon.
I heard it might be around 6 inches up there...nothing but some flurries here in Berks County. Drive safe if you go out and always watch out for the other guy....and by the way...rake those leaves! (unless you use it for compost?)

Dont forget to share a pic tomorrow in the exact same spot so we can see the difference.

lol. I knew someone was gonna comment about the leaves. We’re in a burn ban. I did mulch a ton but I’ll be blowing that section into the woods. Batteries are charging for tomorrow.

Yeah the southern part of the state always ends up with a dusting it seems.

Yeah I’m done for the day lol they’re getting heavy with the rain which is supposed to turn to snow this evening.

Nah no lights yet. I usually put them up around Thanksgiving. I don’t go crazy just some around the deck and the nativity set.

Preparing to head out to a medical appointment. After that, I am picking up my grandson from school. He and I are going to hit Chik-Fil-A, and then Big Ben’s Comix Oasis.

In line at REI to buy a pair of their hiking pants. The couple with young son ahead of me just spent $1,044.28 They might have even used a little on a gift card too.
Decided to finally get the membership.

REI branded hiking pants? I never went for a membership at REI. It went up a few years ago. We just got a Sierra which is like a TJ Maxx for outdoor gear.

Yeah, they were on sale and I had been meaning to get a pair of hiking pants. I wasn’t going to get the membership but I’ve thought about it before. I think I needed to spend another $1.50 to get a $30 card so I just donated that extra difference and got it. I wasn’t expecting. With receiving that card, the membership has already paid for itself

The Sierra store sounds interesting.

Looking @ stuff on eBay. There is a toy that I want, but the seller is requesting bids. I have never placed a bid before. It doesn’t look like I have anything to lose. Here goes…..

What do you think of the REI branded hiking pants? My daughter's been asking for a pair of hiking pants, I can't really see the point in them vs typical "running" pants which you can get much cheaper at Target or even Dick's. My #1 rule when I hike is to not wear anything cotton. Personally I like my Columbia brand nylon/poly blend "convertible pants" when I hike in cooler weather. I'd start out cold then when I warm up I can just unzip to turn them into shorts. If I'm hiking in the summer I just wear typical running shorts from Target.

Got rocked by out first winter storm of the year. They even closed the interstate. Knocked out power around 2am and our estimated repair time isn't until Sunday at 11PM!

That is ridiculous. I saw no crews even in the area and trees down everywhere. It's gonna suck coming home to a dark and cold house in a few hours.

I haven't used them yet but I did try them on in the fitting room and they were comfortable. I actually got them mostly as protection from ticks. There are some trails that are quite narrow and you can't help but brush against some of the vegetation. I don't think I would have any ticks jump on me but I don't want to take the chance.

I got them on sale for $49.98 I think. That's still more than I'd like to spend but I did do a quick search while I was in store and one site had their pants listed for best budget pants. Regular price is $70.
Now that's got me thinking I should check The North Face and Patagonia to see if they have any upcoming Black Friday deals.
