Home from my third and final day in the office for a week and was rewarded with the news that Qobuz high-res streaming is included in the latest Marantz firmware update. I cannot wait to listen to some streaming high-res music in the basement tonight!

Not quite 5 pm in Cali so I'm still working and counting the minutes, but it's looking like I'll be working some OT as I have a big job to run.

I remember Ebert's review of Armageddon way back when, he called it a "two-and-a-half-hour beer commercial" lol. I actually hated it when I first saw it in the theater. But I'm happy I gave it a second chance on video, and since then learned to appreciate it over the years. Lots of funny quotable lines, especially Buscemi, but definitely not a movie you can take too seriously, even given the suject of the film.

As for Deep Impact, those are all the things I appreciate about it that you mentioned. Looking forward to watching it in UHD Friday night. And time to crank the system up.

Took the bike up to the dealer for its first service. You're supposed to do it after 600 miles but I brought it in with 724. Unfortunately, they were going to need to keep the bike for several hours to check the valves. They needed to wait until the engine was cold after I had ridden the bike up there. My lady friend lives in Fremont so she came and got me and brought me back to San Jose. I'll return tomorrow to get the bike.

When we got back to SJ, we grabbed a bite at IHOP. This was actually the first time we went out and did something. She had an omelette and while I was expecting to get breakfast, I decided to go with a Cowboy Burger

Picked my bike up from the dealer and came back to San Jose. At Chili's now having their 3 For Me deal. Only ordered the drink and the app so far. I'll either go burger or steak for the entree. I don't normally go to a sit down restaurant on a work day but why not. Today will be my Wednesday shift and I would have liked to have come here tomorrow, after my Wednesday shift, but whatever.

Anyway, chips, Diet Coke and tennis keeping me company.

I mentioned a few days ago that I had a vibration issue with my car.

I had a feeling it was the engine mounts. Got it up on the lift today and the mechanic confirmed it. Said I only need 1 and didn’t seem to think it was necessary to order OEM, so went aftermarket

. Should have the car back on Monday and hopefully no more vibrations.
