Just took advantage of these summer concert ticket deals and scored the "Me + 3" deal for the Counting Crows...four tickets for ~$200 in seats that usually go for $75 each. This whole industry is a racket, but I can't not see shows, sooooooooo

Trying to get all my work done before I take PTO tomorrow. Got a long weekend coming up, gonna kick it off in the morning with Final Reckoning before I pack for a long weekend of festivities as my oldest is getting married on Sunday!

Yeah it's ridiculous here in Cali. And the rumors I hear about what is being considered for legislation is just scary. If the state legislators could turn everyone into lemmings with the wave of their money-grubbing hands, I'm certain they would.

Thanks sir!

Nice! Enjoy! I really wanted to take 1/2 day today as well, but a project I've been working on that I was hoping to have done yesterday has been delayed because the system I support has been running like a dog up a hill. It's due tomorrow, but I'll be able to wrap it by today at least. Still I can't/shouldn't complain as I telecommute full-time. And of course I now have that Qobuz keeping me company all day long.

I had an appointment this morning and then I went to The Container Store where I bought some new hangers while they're having their Memorial Day sale which sees all items at 30% off. I could have bought similar hangers at IKEA for less than half the price but nooooo, I had to overspend for The Container Store's sexy hangers

After that, caught the bus back downtown and got some Mountain Mike's pizza buffet for lunch. I never do that on work nights but I was pretty hungry today. I'm about to head out and either walk home or catch the bus and walk less to get home. I have one more appointment this afternoon. This one will be via phone with my PCP and then I should be getting to bed not too long after that.

I'm afraid to ask what a "sexy hanger" is
But, I really want to hear more about the Mountain Mike's pizza buffet

Anyway, back on topic, I just got home from work, my kid fell asleep in my bed again so I guess I'm stuck sleeping curled up at the foot of the bed or attempt to sleep in her tiny bed..or maybe I'll just gently slide her over to give myself room. Either way I'm exhausted and could sleep anywhere. Honestly I totally forgot she was coming here tonight, I thought she was going to her mom's after school.

Sipping some coffee and browsing the web before I head out for the day and heading to the movies for an early matinee.

Well, if you can make it out to the West Coast by 11am, I'm planning on going again today. It's $17.49 and it includes drink, soda (fountain) and pizza and it usually includes their bread sticks but they didn't have any yesterday. The only reason I try and limit it to once a week is because I'm still saving money for a motorcycle despite already having one.
And the hangers are just normal hangers but I do quite like them and I really like the stained birch color they have.

I just sent an email to my agent at Allstate to see about switching my car over from USAA to them. They insure my bike and it's possible they might be able to beat USAA on the car.
I've got some laundry going and I'm going to clean up a bit as I'll be going out of town this weekend for the long weekend. I had actually signed up to work my holiday but because I want to go out of town, I asked my supervisor if I could still get the holiday off.

About an hour and a half until I start stuffing my face with pizza

I have my car insurance with State Farm....USAA insurance rates stunk! It would have been more than double what State Farm quoted me. Otherwise, USAA has been good to me with my home owners insurance, but not with car insurance, which I found weird.

Well that's good news actually! There's a chance then that my Allstate agent will get back to me with a cheaper monthly rate. Here are the insurance quotes I got on new bikes. I posted them on a local motorcyclist board and people wouldn't have guessed that these quotes for the full year.
1. 2025 Yamaha XSR700 $330.50
2. 2025 Yamaha MT-07 $330.50
3. 2025 Yamaha XSR900 $425.76
4. 2025 Yamaha MT-09 $425.76
5. 2025 Triumph Trident 660 $330.50
6. 2025 Triumph Street Triple 765R $425.76

I haven't had my Harley for over 10 years now, but it was in the $600 a year range back then. But IMO, those appear to be pretty good rates.

They're all cheaper than my Suzuki which I guess is kind of surprising because according to Google, street bikes are often more expensive to insure than dual sports. The Suzuki was $481.11 for the year. Of course now I'll have a multi bike discount

I am hoping to test ride a couple Yamahas on Wednesday. It sucks that motorcycle shops are closed on Monday. Normally I might not mind that much but Monday is the beginning of my weekend.

Started work at 10pm and just took my first break at about 5:40am or so. Crazy day. It was a crazy day for all of us tonight so not just myself.

I love these app deals and special combos, getting a normally like 12-dollar cost meal for 3 or 4 bucks is a great money saver. Prob the best fast-food deal going right now imo and the burger is a great size, not too big or small and a good amount of bacon.
