I had a Harmony remote. Had one for many, many years in fact (15 years). Then one of my dearest friends, who found out what was wrong with my old TV, told me that I should never use "universal" remotes. Nor should I get rid of the original remotes, which I did. I haven't used my Harmony remote or any "universal" remote since. I sold my Harmony remote in fact. I have 3 remotes that I use now. But I actually like it. I thought the idea of remotes like Harmony were cool, but they were bugger than I liked. My oldest sister had some type of universal remote that would never work properly and couldn't hold a charge. That is if it charged. It was very frustrating when I would dog sit. Not having to deal with any of that anymore is nice. And it's not that much of hassle using 3 remotes. Whatever cranks your Honda though. Quote:

![]() As for old remotes, I generally don't get rid of them, and I don't know why anybody would. I keep a small storage bin full of remotes for devices I no longer own. You never know when they may come in handy as a backup or whatever if you buy another product from a brand that uses the same codes. I've put old remotes back to use multiple times over the years. Radio in my car is not working. Spent a good hour troubleshooting and checking fuses. Gave up and disconnected the battery. She is still dead. This is not my year for cars.

Recovering from last night. It was a total train wreck on my mental health and one of the worst nights in a good while. I went to go see Twinless yesterday, which I have been dying to see. It's playing at the local arthouse cinema where my friend works. He said I would really like it when I mentioned to him about seeing it. BOY, was he right. I knew it was going to be an emotional movie. I had no idea it would up being soul crushing. It did me in. Just about as bad as The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower killed me when I saw it in theaters. It was the only movie I ever wanted to leave on my own. It hurt so much to be there watching it. It was my life put up there on screen. I couldn't bear to watch it. I was in a packed theater with people on my right and people on my left. I was ready to walk out, but I knew once I got to the isle steps to leave I would have lost it. They would have had to stop the movie and call 911. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my second favorite movie of all time. Just about all of the same can be said of Twinless. I see so much of myself in that movie that it absolutely was killing me. It wasn't a big theater nor was it packed. But I still had to keep my composure. I was seriously getting ready to lose it at times. Such a painfully powerful movie. I haven't been this moved by a movie in a long time. It it is my favorite movie of the year and has become my third favorite movie of all time. I spent the remainder of the evening working through the gut wrenching emptiness and pain I was feeling. Thankfully, I had a long commute home to help with that. I still didn't feel quite right when I got home. And I still don't. On top of all that, I am suffering from one of the worst sinus infections/issues I've had in years. Not only is it my usual mess that I go through, but it's also so much more. This time, I've got pain in my bone/sinus cavity just under my left nostril. It hurts to touch it. My whole face practically hurts. I've been on over the counter medicine for a couple of weeks now. But it's only gotten this bad in the last few days. The bone pain just occurred today. I don't have time nor the money to go see my doctor or go to a walk in clinic. It's not like there is a lot they can do anyway. They haven't before. I'll just weather through this, as I always do. It just sucks to have to deal with this on my trip. The plane ride's going to be hell on earth. That's what he's already doing in the bathroom. Just not with his phone. |

After a long week, just having a slow morning and enjoying some coffee and listening to some tunes before heading out with the wifey to celebrate our 26th anniversary.

I also gross out on Friends every time I see Joey bring a sandwich into the restroom lol I'm not normally a germaphobe, but the restroom is an exception. Early in my career, ever since I witnessed a workmate stink up the restroom at work and walk straight out the door after without washing his hands, it scarred me lol.
