Cheer's Nef,I have an iPhone,I don't know how fidgety that might be,sometimes posting is a pain,I get to near the end of a lengthy reply only to hit the wrong button and clear everything,gonna get the Internet up and running at home in the next few weeks again.
Going in the forum again via my laptop will be like looking at a cinema screen after all this time.

Anyway,what if I forward you the photos and you can stick one or more on here?

1) yes you can - i have imageshack account and I can put them there and post the pics from there ...
2) only wee ?

do not remember from what movie/tv show i leared that word from but it was about Ireland anyway ...

I'm going to get a wee bit of petrol,I'm going for a wee drink,I'm gonna have a wee BBQ soon.

It certainly doesn't mean we are going for anything small or less.

Looking forward to seeing the pic of that barge you took VH! And thanks Nef for doing that!

These new glasses will take me a day or so to get used to. The prescription is not that much stronger, but it still makes a huge difference.

If you google 'Sea Cloud II' and check out the images it looks a pretty cool vessel to sail around the world in.

Yeah it looked fantastic when I was standing there,(i'd love to see it with the sails up)the pics don't do it justice plus it is the only time in the last two weeks there hasn't been any sunshine,it did clear up about an hour later but I was in my way home.

agree -- shiny weather would be nice ... but cool ship anyway.

btw - my father (rip) was a engine man on few ships -- visited Ireland also ... have his cards that he send for my mother ...

I took photos of a nice cruise ship the day before and it is with a clear blue sky...it does make a difference

Cool story about your dad Nef,sounds like an interesting job,I'd love to travel around the world in a large sailing ship,working hard and eating fresh fish!

my father really did sail the seas. even in the (Finnish) army he did his duty on a war ship. but unfortunately he died of hemorrhage in the age of 37 and did not have time to tell me stories.

i have only his diaries and post cards from Japan, UK, US, Netherlands etc ...

and this is true story ...

I believe you,sad that you didn't have more years with him,he was very young when he died,I lost my dad to cancer 20 years ago so I kind of know where you are coming from.
