Stuart "I didn't bother to watch the show" Baird and Star Trek: Nemesis would disagree The actors often recount what a poor job he did prepping, didn't learn the characters with 15 years of history before trying to direct them, that sort of thing. I've loved his editing work tho

There are plenty of editors that have gone on to direct well though

maybe i was just tired when i watched it, but i only saw nemesis as a rental and enjoyed it. much more so than most (all?) of the next generation trek films. overall, i generally dislike the next gen movies but LOVE the original series.

as fry once said, "you know what 6 films average out to be really good? the first six star trek movies!"

If true, I'd HATE to know how much salt is needed when visting OTHER forums!

Well, if the grapevine is a hint, I doubt you are referring to "The California Raisins Movie". "Bottle Shock" isn't a classic... and I have no idea if you are referring to "Leaving Las Vegas".

If the "hairy" comment is a hint, most likely, my mind first goes to Burt Reynolds. Since I doubt you'd be hinting at WB's announcement of "Dukes Of Hazzard" on Blu-ray... my mind trails off to "Boogie Nights"... not my type of film, but you mention porn quite often, and I am aware of it's popularity.

My only other guess would be "The Gremlins"?

I thought the story was actually pretty decent, but the characterization was more than a bit off if memory serves me right...

The Gremlins would be a nice movie to have on blu. It did show up on a supposedly leaked list of titles coming from WB and that was on it. Only time will tell.

Wicky, any chance you could tell us when this other unknown title will be announced? I know I am asking too much here.

It was supposedly going to be last week, a lot of announcements weren't made there for whatever reason.

So no, but it's still coming

That is odd that the studios decided to hold back on their announcements. Hopefully we hear about these announcements in the very near future. I want to add more titles to my already extremely long "to buy" list

Wicky, can you give another hint/clue/code that is singular (i.e. minus The Godfather clue) to the movie we haven't figured out yet?

That, sir, is a portrait of one Harvey Williams Cushing, who is the main reason why I, and other neurosurgeons, have a job today.

He was Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard/Peter Bent Brigham Hospital at the turn of the 20th century, and is considered the father of modern neurosurgery.

Would anyone really care about Harry and the Hendersons...especially on Penton's thread? This is like getting excited about Howard the Duck.

I was thinking Star Wars too with Chewbacca matching the hairy reference. But folks on Penton's thread talk a lot about classic films. Is there a classic film where "hairy" would fit??? Is there any way hairy can be referenced with LoTR? I am never good at these guessing games.

Oh, how about Jurassic Park with all the hairy dinosaurs?

Wicky, can you give us a studio or decade at least?

You could call him/it an somehow extended monkey And please consider that blue monkeys generally loose a lot less than red ones...
