That be Rob T.
Yesterday, I actually dug up an old post (in which I responded to him) enabling me to quickly answer the question posed by the OP of another thread –
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...al#post2434357

I haven’t seen Rob posting in quite awhile.

Aygie, I just responded to your PM.
Too bad you didn’t contact me a little sooner as I think this would have been perfect for your needs and alas, it’s now in it’s last day………..

Maybe, keep an eye out for next year’s expo if it fits into your plans and schedule.

One more thing Penton; presuming the eventual release will have some sort of "box" packaging.....PLEASE make sure there's a (fairly) regular BD case inside that will fit one everyone's shelf. Same width and height, I can understand if it might be slightly thicker to house the 5 discs.

Any information would be appreciated on another David Lean movie, The Bridge On The River Kwai, concerning its availability on our favorite home video format. An enterprising studio might want to piggyback that release with a bigger seller like LOA. I think many consumers could swallow those two films together, if it was packaged right and at the correct price point. Just a small suggestion to use the synergy between those two movies to release an older classic that I fear is being overlooked.

I've seen him post regularly at AVS.

Penton,

Please give a thank you to the trigger puller on this title. I have no idea how the decision making process works at SONY, but I am super "stoked" () to see this coming in January.

The audio at Mavericks should be sick.

Will do.
Every time I think of Mavericks, I think of Mark Foo.

On a brighter note…..

Or, if they don't want to risk $, they could experimentally re-release A Passage to India to see how far (how many sales) tie-ins like that will get them. APtI is already out on BR, hence why the lower risk.

Clark, not to worry, The Bridge On The River Kwai, is not being overlooked.
Even to those totally unfamiliar with the motion picture, the title itself is cool enough to attract first-time viewers/buyers.

As much as I would love to see this movie release I am eagerly awaiting the first official announcement for Lawrence Of Arabia.

I'd have to look at my disc again, I'm pretty sure there was some major damage on the print for the DVD when the guy who escapes is paddling down the river. I don't know if it's fixable, but always good to bring up if someone is thinking about looking at it for Blu

Put me in the "first-time viewers" category, as I meant to purchase it on DVD, and never got around to it. I'm looking forward to LOA, but I've seen it, which puts Kwai farther up the want list for me.

weirdly, first time I saw the Hitler reappropriation was for this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frZTf3mX97c

Like most youtube comments, the ones on this vid are priceless, mostly from video game platform zealots, alas....

Meanwhile, as a non gamer, I'm sitting here obsessing about getting my damn Abbey Road add-on to Beatles' Rock Band. Sigh...

I blather about it ad nauseum at AVS, but for those of you that care about such things, both the mono -and- stereo Beatles sets are just wonderful. Plus, if any Beatles fans haven't bought it yet, you MUST get this:

http://www.recordingthebeatles.com/

For ANY of you who obsess about technical minutiae it's just incredible... Learn everything you ever wanted to know about 70+ years of recording history.... Astounding, monumental book.
