Karate Kid

http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...ss=0#vergleich

Some better gamma and contrast there

The Other Guys

http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...ess=#vergleich

That old disc was sharpened all to hell!

I think the digital films are a cheap no brainer for Sony but the pre-2008 35mm stuff is showing some real advantage

Wow- you're right on both counts here. Looks like more than just Glory/Ghostbusters/Spiderman were noticeable improvements.

blu-21 and yourself have valid points, however, as has already been stated, I think people are putting waaaaaaay too much investment into a couple of quick point and click pics, to show that the palette had been changed, as opposed to any direct attempts to reference the actual colours. That's as close as I can get, so please accept room for error and wait for caps-a-holic to do their thing.

All the best.

Fair enough, but if the official caps even look marginally like your S.m.a.r.t.p.h.o.n.e.p.i.c.t.u.r.e.s. in regards to the coloring of the Mastered in 4K version looking blown out and magenta/pinkish then I wouldn't call that a upgrade at all.

Yeah, it's blatantly obvious that the original release used a dated master.

Since they're releasing all these movies, Dracula has gotta come at some point.

As I have said many times in here do not hold your breath, the master is controlled by Zoetrope

Can't remember what's an effects shot and what isn't, but MIB still looks somewhat electronic for my taste...

Yeah, a really nice improvement.

You can really see a nice broader color spectrum too compared to the older disc (almost like HD vs SD again).

I'm really disappointed on this new MIB disc. It's definitely the worst catalog title on the MI4K line so far.

It still looks too much like the old transfer with even more sharpening applied to it and some small color change.

Contrast still seems boosted. EE is even worse this time.
