Alaska and Antarctica both still have toilet paper.

By the way, over 105,000 cases (infected), over 3,500 deaths, and 100 countries/regions affected. Planes are flying without passengers burning tons of fuel in the atmosphere; that too is overboard.

As stocks fall, esp. on news like with No Time to Die - https://www.bloomberg.com/tosv2.html...JhbnQtc3RvY2tz
Work continues - https://www.livescience.com/coronavi...structure.html

I’m just wondering if due to COVID-19 whether there will be a lack of consumer spending even for such things as HDR-related consumer electronics and software as you’ve got to feel for those U.S. workers who are now encouraged to stay home when they’re sick due to any upper respiratory illness symptoms and yet don’t get 14-day paid sick leave from their employers.

P.S.

This could cause a severe contraction in the economy with empty restaurants, shopping malls and much less business travel. Airlines and cruise lines are cutting back and even Costco has eliminated giving out food samples. If the economy goes into a major recession everyone will suffer.

Launched three years ago by France's CGR Cinemas, the ICE theater concept features non-reflecting LED panels flanking each side of the auditorium to fill the moviegoer's peripheral vision with custom, ambient images as the feature film is shown on the front screen.

There are 36 ICE theater locations in France. The first in the U.S. opened in late 2019 at Regal's L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. Last month, Vox Cinemas in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, debuted the first ICE theater in that region.

Gaaaaah. There's no way that's what the director intended.

That's a very nice presentation - thanks for the link!

The deal press release is difficult to interpret. Can't work out if it's bad news or not for those people. Sounds like they have been "cut adrift".

Global cinema industry affected by coronavirus outbreak

Theaters in China remain closed while cinemagoers in some other regions are staying home due to concerns about coronavirus. The latest James Bond film, No Time to Die, is the first big release to have been postponed.

In the first two months of 2020, China's box office, the world's second-largest market, has brought in just $238 million compared to $2.148 billion in the first two months of 2019, according to data by Comscore reported by Variety.

I recall reading that ACEScc was slightly bigger than 2020 so is AP1 just another name for that or is it a different working space altogether?

Here I thought you were younger. Well, if people start hoarding prune juice like toilet paper I guess there’s always Senokot for you…..

(for some, especially those prone to depression, humor can be a good/the only coping mechanism in times of a crisis (ask soldiers at war), so YouTube google ‘Coming To A Port Near You: The Bug Boat’ on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert which is a parody of The Love Boat comedy television series that us older members may remember.

Both slightly bigger, but different. I wrote that too quickly in a rush to get the link posted before closing up to go to bed early. Technically, to be clear, AP1 is a set of RGB primaries. ACEScc (the “cc” standing for its intended use – color correction) is one of four ACES color spaces to use AP1 primaries.

^ good topic for conversation around the water cooler, as is this, these days, especially as to answering the burning question posted at the end “When A Vaccine Could Be Ready”, here - https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/a...-of-the-curve/

which is why development of potential (if they work and are safe) anti-viral therapies like Remdesivir and TAK-888, etc. are so important in fighting SARS-CoV-2 because right now for those who get seriously ill, all we have is supportive care, no real specific bug fighting meds, other than antibiotics for a secondary bacterial pneumonia
