fjerina, gklob, et al., for further comprehensive understanding as to the D-Cinema naming convention, I posted this link somewhere on the forum several years ago when similar questions, as above, arose….http://isdcf.com/dcnc/

Bails, the ASC’s NGCD subcommittee (see Phase One document - https://cms-assets.theasc.com/ASC-NG...20170821133403) and technology providers geared toward projectors like Dolby and IMAX
as well as direct view cinema display providers (follow-up to this past heads-up to Pete - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post14648986 with his HPA presentation now available online in pdf form, see - http://www.isdcf.com/meeting/2018-02...nd-of-Proj.pdf ) have pretty much been driving cinema HDR characteristics/interest rather than the DCI (except for its involvement in compliance testing for IMD and content security provisions for direct view cinema displays [Samsung]) but word is, the DCI may be slowly becoming more involved with an effort in regards to a test lab for HDR cinema. We’ll have to wait and see if talk manifests itself into action. |

Lionsgate just released the first trailer for The Spy Who Dumped Me, and action comedy starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon. And I'm not sure why, but it's in 1440p on YouTube. Maybe it was some sort of formatting error by the uploader. Maybe they uploaded theatrical 2k instead of 1080p. In any case, I thought I'd mention it because it's only the 2nd time a trailer from a major studio has been officially released online in a resolution above 1080p. And I'm not making any assumptions about the DI/DCP since the only other time was Transformers 5 having a 4k trailer but 2k DI/DCP.
