Seeing as to how successful the first one was, it's no surprise the sequel will be PG-13. Just as long as Carnage is done right, it'll be fine. I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah they'll have to make gruesome look awesome. If they can make Venom work as PG-13 then they can with Carnage also. Trickery shots would definitely be cool.

Yes. Though I think the fruition of Venom 3 depends on the success of Venom 2. Venom has sold me for Venom 2. Let's hope Venom 2 can sell me for Venom 3.

I had a feeling this would become a sequel after the early success of the first.

There seems to be confusion over the budget. Some say Venom has got it's budget back and then some. Others say it needs over $400 million to break even.

It needs $450M to break even because of the marketing costs. The production costs were relatively low but Sony went all-out marketing the thing.

I enjoyed the film. I would be happy to see a sequel.

I think it is funny that it is a "darker" sequel. It will still be a PG-13. Not that I am complaining about the rating, rather just commenting how the darker sequel will still be PG-13.

Getting Eminem and Ludwig Göransson must've cost a bit as well.

It's already made 380 million global in two weeks. By the end of the next week, it'll likely be past that.

Last I heard, estimates were for a total world box office of at least $600 million. It will make money and then some and continue to with BD sales.

Looking forward to CARNAGE!

the guy in opening post is right.

Just look at first comic book Carnage'a appearance - all of his murders are shown in PG-13 way. No blood, no graphic violence, mostly offscreen or similar to Wolverine's actions in his PG-13 movies.

And if original is, in fact, PG-13 what's the problem with PG-13 adaptation?

The answer is - there is no problem.

Looking forward to it.
