Agreed. Shout doesn't usually spring for new transfers. There are maybe 2 titles that I know of that have new transfers and I don't even remember which ones they are.

Slumber Party Massacre
Sleepaway Camp
Final Exam
Evilspeak
The Final Terror

I think that's all of them. (Evilspeak and Final Exam might have been done by Code Red. I'm not sure).

I don't think they did the transfers for Final Exam or Evilspeak, but I think they did create new masters for some of the Universal and MGM films they licensed; Death Valley and The Town that Dreaded Sundown are two that come to mind.

Someone did new transfers for Evilspeak and Final Exam. It says it on the back covers. Like I said, I'm not sure if it was Scream themselves or Code Red (or someone else).

I agree with you that they're unlikely to do a new transfer for this and that new color timing with Cundey supervising is more likely. If they did it for The Fog, I see no reason why they couldn't do it for EFNY.

They did new for The Fog and Day or the Dead.

If I'm not mistaken, Evilspeak's transfer was actually created by producer/director, Eric Weston. I seem to recall reading something to that effect on the Latarnia forums.

I'm pretty sure the Final Exam transfer was created by Code Red, though.

I'm pretty sure that's true.

I think The Fog was color correction only with Dean Cundey.

I believe they also did Sleepaway Camp with assistance from the director, right?

Whenever they actually do take to remastering a film, I really do like the outcome.

I haven't been too crazy about the announcements as of late...I'm really hoping for a joint team-up with Anchor Bay again, but this time, do a Phantasm Boxset...It's definitely a wish.

Anchor Bay's rights to the Phantasm films have expired. The films, other than II, are all currently available, unless Don Coscarelli has licensed the films in a deal that has not yet been announced.

Day of the Dead
The Fog
Nightbreed
Halloween 6 PC
These are others that come to mind.

Maybe the first one could be one of their two unannounced collectors editions ?

All they have to do is use the HDnet transfer, which is the best one out there.

I apologize if this has already been discussed as I did not read through every previous post. But one movie I would like to see Scream Factory put out is Chopping Mall. Yep... You read it right. Chopping Mall.

That would be funny.

I've said it before, but I really hope there is a Valley Girl / Modern Girls double feature from Shout.

It's a great matchup and both are MGM titles. I know Modern Girls doesn't have quite the same following but man, what a double feature.
