I had this cover made for the Vincent Price movies that are already on BluRay that Scream Factory will probably never be able to license:

Kino's primarily been feeding off of MGM/UA's catalog, lately. I don't think MGM/UA holds any US distribution rights to Quatermass 2 (aka Enemy From Space) anymore and I'm pretty sure they never held any distribution rights to Quatermass and the Pit. I think, when Anchor Bay released the "Hammer Collection" DVDs, the films had been licensed from Hammer Films/Exclusive Media Group, directly. If so, that would probably place the current US distribution rights with Alchemy, LLC (formerly Millennium Entertainment).

Again, I think When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth has some kind of issue that made Warner lose it since it was a double feature with Moon Zero Two and was obviously the more popular of the two, yet Moon Zero Two has been on the archive for a long time and When Dinosaurs... isn't.

Blood on Satan's Claw has a region free UK edition that I can highly recommend, I've watched it a couple times. It has a VERY entertaining commentary track from the league of gentlemen. It's quite expensive for a bluray, but paying 25-30 to import it is certainly better than paying at least as much for the OOP non-anamorphic R1 DVD.

Quatermass and the Pit is definitely a different rights-holder than Quatermass 1. It seems like Quatermass 1/2 and The Creeping Unknown are often released together, while Quatermass and the Pit tends to go with that whole batch that Studiocanal has (which included Dracula Prince of Darkness and Frankenstein Created Women).

Warner pulled *When Dinosaurs* because of the nude footage ala Swamp Thing and hasnt been heard from since.
I was told Kino does not have Quatermass II

Why would they pull it for brief nudity? Weird. I'm shocked, they didn't re-release it, on one of their MOD discs. But I really want it on blu-ray. Still waiting for One Million Years B.C..

I'm seeing that the UK DVD of Blood on Satan's Claw, is region free. The blu-ray shows Region B/2.

It is weird to me that the Vincent Price sets would sell pretty well when Hammer has sunk like a rock in this country, but that seems to be the case.
The difference is people know who Scream Factory and Synapse are, and trust their quality. I believe the Hammer titles sold well for Synapse, not sure how well Vampire Lovers sold for Scream though. The same can not be sad about Millennium, who couldn't even be bothered to include lossless audio tracks. They were largely inferior to the versions released in the UK (Which included lossless sound and more extras), that's why many like myself held off. To not include lossless audio in this day and age is just laziness. And is Frankenstein Created Women really one of the most popular Hammer flicks? Prince of Darkness maybe, but I don't know about Frankenstein Crated Women.

Either way if someone re-released them with lossless tracks I would definitely grab them. Until then I will hold off on the Millennium discs, unless I can find them cheap.

If i were a betting man, there is some sort of legal issue which is why they pulled the DVD of *When Dinosaurs* . Probably why MGM pulled Swamp Thing. The nude scenes might have been just for the UK release but werent authorized for US releases.
If it came out on MOD it would be missing the nude scenes unless Warner was able to work something out.
One Million Years BC is with Fox and so far it appears that nobody has sub-licensed it (yet)

I really have no interest in Stigmata, but I'm not complaining. It gives me more money to save for Summer of Fear Part 2

You might be right here, but they were still superior to a ton of the garbagey discs that have been released overseas where it looks worse than an upscale of the US DVDs (ex Curse of Frankenstein, Kiss of the Vampire). I have the Australian set that's basically copies of the UK discs for both POD and FCW, and I have the Millennium Dracula disc (because it was on sale for 9 bucks), I unfortunately can't even play the Australian disc through my best player so I can't do a good comparison of the two transfers but I didn't notice the Millennium one looking any worse than the other Hammer Blu-rays I have. The US disc has the same extras as the Australian one, too, with the addition of some lobby card reproductions in the case. I think it might be missing one trailer or something but it has the same commentary, 30 minute doc and world of hammer episode.

Neither one is considered particularly good by most Hammer freaks, but most people who are only casually aware of Hammer are only really familiar with their Dracula and Frankenstein series (and then the Mummy and Curse of the Werewolf). This is by far the best Dracula sequel with Christopher Lee in it, though it is still definitely mid-tier Hammer at best. Frankenstein Created Women has a lot of supporters who consider it one of the best Hammer movies, but I think the general consensus is it's also just kinda middling. I love it, personally, and I don't really care for Dracula Prince of Darkness apart from Barbara Shelley, who is by far the best thing about the movie and is unfortunately barely in it.

I really wish Vampire Lovers would have been a big seller for Shout, I agree that it seems like Hammer movies should be a natural fit for them. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'll buy pretty much any Hammer release that comes out in this country, though it looks like I'm going to import Arrow's Hound of the Baskervilles over Twilight Time's cause it will be cheaper and probably better. :P

See and I love Frankenstein Created Transgenders OOPS I meant Woman.. (PS its WOMAN not WOMEN )
Its such a great film and twist beyond the usual making a monster out of parts. I love Hammer atmosphere.. Dracula Prince of Darkness is another one I like as well..

But House on Haunted Hill is also in the Public Domain so Warner didn't really have a say
